Cape Mentelle Winery | Received the IES ANZ WA 2023 Award for Excellence in lighting design for the innovative design by . Cape Mentelle represents a wonderful example of how a simple adaptive lighting design and an intelligent lighting system can transform a space into a totally different experience with simple controls. The Casambi system allowed the implementation of the new lighting with minimal electrical intervention, through the use of the existing power supply infrastructure. It also added a simple and easily manageable system that allows staff the flexibility to adapt to the different functions held in the tasting hall varying from walk-in tasting visitors to organised corporate tasting events.

Hedland Hotel | The Hedland Hotel, approximately 1500km north of Perth, shines bright thanks to Klaasen Lighting Design's thoughtful approach. The interesting and challenging project needed to account for protecting the turtle breeding grounds on the beach below and take into account the harsh Australian environment. The project which uses amber colour temperature LedsC4 external lighting throughout, takes into account the light production, spill lighting and light pollution to illuminate the outdoor dining, while also protecting our night skies and unique wildlife.

New project on siilight.com.au | City Beach Oval, nestled against the backdrop of the stunning Western Australian coastline, is a sports field used by clubs for AFL and cricket. A recent upgrade to the lighting of the oval allowed for the design to AFL Standard with a 100 lux average on ground, allowing the club to play night games year round on a newly illuminated field with better considerations of player safety and performance.

MATAGARUP MINI GOLF: With its extended operating hours, needed a lighting solution which would provide mini golfers with an even and comfortable level of illumination throughout the 18 hole course. Carandini's Urbalite fittings integrated throughout the course have proven to be the ultimate solution, illuminating the course and it's obstacles evenly and without glare.

These meticulously crafted fixtures, chosen by the electrical consultants at BCA Consultants and installed by RJ Electric with builders from MG Group, not only enhance visibility but also elevate the entire mini-golf experience to new heights, with their glare free, uniform and spill free light, ensuring that golfers can always keep their eye on the ball.

The Urbalite fixture by Carandini was the optimum choice for this purpose, offering cutting-edge LED technology, in both single and twin mount options, with IP66 and IK09 protection against the elements on the river bank.

Our latest project within the City of Cambridge - The City Beach carparks lighting upgrade offers high visibility and a well-lit car park, promoting safety and security for the public, as they dine waterside and enjoy all the amenities that City Beach has to offer.

The Carandini Veka fittings were the perfect choice for this project with their simple and elegant aesthetic, coupled with cutting-edge LED technology and optics that provide a sense of security to the carpark. The Veka family is certified with an IDA mark, awarded by the International Dark Sky Association, which certifies that the fitting complies with their approval programme to provide light that protects the environment and dark skies. Allowing our coastal environment to thrive while providing an even and uniform lighting to the areas where it is needed.

​The jury was impressed with the amount of collaboration evident between architect, Sii Light lighting designer and the client in this project. Together, creating a lighting design which is aesthetic and highly functional. Whilst considerate of aging in place generally, the approach was also highly personal and clearly in response to many of the client’s unique quirks and living habits.
​
Features of note included low-level, sensor activated lights to all circulation spaces and wet areas, low-glare task lighting and a variety of clever, lighting controls.
