Sydney’s favourite Middle Eastern restaurant has arrived at Habitat in Byron Bay. Known for its rustic yet elevated cuisine, Sefa Kitchen celebrates the rich flavours of the Levantine and North African regions. 

Enjoy a sit-down dining experience with live music and an open wood-fire grill featuring specialty skewers, charred vegetables, and shared meze dishes. 

We will be open Wednesday to Saturday, 12pm to late.

Inspired by the home-cooked meals found in Mediterranean townships, the newly-opened Commune Canteen offers an ever-changing menu based on fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients.

Embracing a canteen-style dining experience, Commune Canteen allows guests to customise their meals using a fill-up tray system with three or five compartments, perfect for mixing and matching.

Utku Ayhan of Foxy Luu’s Byron Bay and Sefa Kitchen in Sydney, and Nicolas Degryse previously Gratia cafe & Folonomo restaurant have joined forces to create a lively community hub focused on local produce, sustainability, and creativity.

The duo have lived in Byron for many years and look forward to inviting you through their doors.
