ny size surf to test all Sting Glide products and nothing goes on sale without Reef’s seal of approval! The Sting Glide team are ocean lovers with Vicki who grew up in South Africa, an avid diver enjoying wrecks and diving with sharks, her passion. Vicki has dabbled in surfing but with a few near misses from hard, pointy surfboards has taken to bodysurfing with a handboard for the exhilaration and enjoyment of being in the ocean but without the worry of a big surfboard. Her mission is to get all kids into bodysurfing for the fun, fitness, safety and knowledge of the ocean. Rene who grew up on the northern beaches of Sydney has surfed and bodysurfed for as long as he can remember. Never trying a handboard until recently, he was blown away by the speed, control and extended ride you get when planing on a handboard not to mention the pure “kid like joy” you get in a range of different surf conditions, with just a pair of fin and a handboard/handplane. Rene still surfs and enjoys riding a variety of boards depending on the conditions from Alaia’s to Malibu’s, a Fish and the good old thruster as long as he is in the ocean having fun with family and friends. Reef at 3 1/2 has taken to water like a .....”Stingray” or “Devil Ray”. He loves swimming be it in the pool (trying to do backflips when his mom is not watching) or in the ocean learning about waves, surfing and bodysurfing, and don’t forget sandcastles. Reef is finding his own little feet (or should we say his fins) in the world and will no doubt find his own path and joy in the ocean. So grab your handboard and fins, head to the ocean .... and enjoy life for all its worth!
