Oma is the newest food and wine bar opened by the team behind Three Blue Ducks. Oma is a place where one can indulge in the philosophy of Ducks' real food (extremely locally sourced) of an evening. Open from 5 pm till late, Thursday-Monday, Oma is set to be Byron Bay's hottest new natural wine venue. Located in the heart of Byron Bay we are seeking a dish hand to be a reliable and key part of the team. This position can be full or part-time hours.

Our ideal Sous Chef would.....

- Help in the preparation and design of all food menus
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
- Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Byron Bay’s newest food and wine bar, OMA, is looking for a wine person to be the link between our diners and our wines. The successful candidate will be the beating heart of the wine programme at Oma.

They must have an understanding and passion for wine; from the processes, to the grapes, and everything in between as well as a particularly keen interest and knowledge of natural wine. They will know all about the wines we offer, recommend, advise, explain and showcase them to our customers. Oma is open Thursday - Monday from 5pm.

We will consider a part-time offer for the perfect candidate.
