🌿 ACUPUNCTURIST AND CHINESE HERBALIST 🌿

Yana is a warm and caring acupuncturist and herbalist with a special interest in women’s health, fertility and pregnancy care. Yana takes a holistic approach to women’s health, recognising the impact factors such as lifestyle, stress, and mental health can have on women’s wellbeing.

Yana works with:

• Endometriosis and pelvic pain
• Preconception health, fertility and IVF
• Menstrual and hormonal health
• Pregnancy related symptoms
• Prebirth and postpartum support
• Women’s general health and wellness

Prior to moving to Cairns, Yana practiced in clinics in Melbourne and on the Gold Coast. Yana has a double degree in Health Science and Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture and Chinese Herbalism) from RMIT University, and has completed extra study in the areas of endometriosis, pelvic pain, fertility and pregnancy care. Yana is currently completing a Masters of Reproductive Medicine through UNSW.

Outside of work, Yana enjoys getting into nature, gardening, painting and pilates.

The clinic will be closed from 12:30 today due to Ergon conducting upgrade works.
The clinic will re open at 8am tomorrow.

Ryan is the director of Adam Physiotherapy consulting out of Gardens Medical.

He is an experienced Musculo-Skeletal Physiotherapist of 12 years and has also completed an Exercise Science degree.

Ryan loves to treat and is particularly passionate about:

• Back, neck, and thoracic issues.
• Nerve related pain e.g. Sciatica and Cervical ‘pinched’ nerves.
• Sports and running injuries.
• Functional fitness injuries e.g. from F45, coaching zone or CrossFit.

Hi, my name is Rachael and I am excited to be joining the allied health team at Gardens Medical Edge Hill! I am an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, passionate and dedicated to assisting people on their journey towards increased health and quality of life. I have experience working with a broad range of clients with varied chronic health conditions, and a special interest in neurological rehabilitation.

Welcome onboard Paul Simmonds!
Paul is an accredited Excercise Physiologist and will be practicing at Gardens Medical Fridays 8am-5pm.

CLINICAL INTERESTS: Musculoskeletal / Sporting Injury Rehabilitation, Posture Correction, Chronic Pain, Neurological Rehabilitation, and Aged / Geriatric Exercise including Mobility, Falls Prevention and Functional Movement.

Paul is a long term Cairns resident who has recently returned after two years living in Brisbane. Graduating from JCU in 2020 with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology, he started his own business soon after, with a strong focus on injury prevention and management, as well as mobility, falls prevention, and functional movement for older populations.

As an avid cyclist, Paul loves to compete in triathlons and is relishing the return to this great region and the fantastic cycling on offer, both on and off road. Paul has also been weight training for close to 30 years and is a huge believer in the benefits it offers for the management and prevention of many chronic diseases.

In his free time, Paul likes motorcycle rides up the coast, taking his French bulldog, and exploring the many waterholes, cafes, and restaurants that Cairns has to offer.

Welcome to the team Dr Ashley Wallin!
Dr Ash is a male GP who will be consulting Thursdays 9am- 3pm.

Dr. Ash joined the Royal Australian Navy in 2001 originally training as a pilot, however decided to switch to medicine in 2010 and graduated from Notre Dam University in 2013.

Ash completed his fellowship in GP in 2019 after working in Melbourne, Sydney, on deployments overseas (Afghanistan) and in Perth WA.

Ash has a special interest in treatment of metabolic syndrome, diabetes, insulin resistance, weight loss and enjoys discussing keto and low carb diets, as well as intermittent fasting for treatment of these. Ash has conducted numerous weight loss clinics / challenges around the country in GP and military setting, and enjoys curing these conditions with lifestyle alone (where possible).

Ash is certified to complete both dive and aviation medicals and after moving from Perth recently resides locally in Edge Hill, with his wife and two young daughters. He is a die hard Melbourne Demons supporter, enjoys a great coffee, and living an active, healthy lifestyle.
