Sink or Swim School is a locally owned & operated business on the Sunshine Coast. Eve has an extensive history with surf life saving & working with children.
We offer private style swim lessons for children and adults with only 3 students per class and only 1 class per pool. Our pools are all Salt water, (much more friendlier on the skin and eyes than chlorine), heated and indoors in an air conditioned building. Each pool is located within it's own room within the complex so you can not see the other lessons during your lesson time. Sink Or Swim School
is a learn to swim facility, there is no free swimming wich means less distrations. We are a registered Swim School with Austswim, Swim Australia and Royal Life Saving. Our Head Swim Instructor, Eve, is a Austswim certified Swimming Instructor & also a Paramedic. She holds a current Blue Card, & being a Paramedic, has more qualifications than a person with a first aid certificate. Eve has been involved with Surf Life Saving for over ten years as an active Surf Life Saver & has also been a rescue crewman aboard the Westpac Surf Life Saving Helicopter. All of our instructors are Austswim qualified with further education and an extensive history and experience of working with children. Some of our instructors hold a degree in Early Child Hood Learning and Development while others are in their final year of becoming a teacher, to go on to further studies to specialize in childrens development and education, this way you get MORE than just a swim instructor. Stephen, Eve's husband, is also a Paramedic and Swim Instructor. He has a history of competitive swimming, Surf Life Saving & Life Guarding. For Eve and Stephen, learning to swim is a passion. As Paramedics, they have rescued more than their fare share of children and adults from pools and water. We believe that prevention is better than a cure so we started our own Swimming School with a strong focus on positive outcomes and results, not just a 30 minute swimming lesson. Water Safety as well as learn to swim is very important to us, this is why we not only teach learn to swim, we also have a strong focus on water safety. We provide a warm and friendly family environment and a fun and flexible way for children and adults to learn how to swim. Your program is personalised to suit you or your Childs needs. As Eve and Steve are the owners and head instructors, we have a detailed process including progression notes on every student to ensure your son or daughter is progressing, not doing the same thing week after week and not moving forward. We endeavour that you will have the same instructor for the entire time that you are with us, ensuring stability and continuity of all swimming lessons. If you are a adult learner, why not learn how to swim with us in a private pool with no one else around, you will have our full attention and care. Our group lessons have a maximum of 3 students and only 1 class per pool (to minimise distractions). There is a play area in each pool enclosure for other siblings to sit and watch or play while their brother or sister is having their lesson. We also have free tea and coffee for the mums and dads. The pools are all heated to 32 deg. and indoor an air conditioned facility. This way we can continue swimming all year round and not taking a break over winter (this is when most children regress in their swimming progress). We heat the building in winter so it is warm for when the children finish their lesson, and in summer we cool the building so it is not too hot inside, making it comfortable for not only the children having a swimming lesson, but also for everyone watching. We have two children of our own and have strong family values and understand, and believe the importance of everyone, no matter how old or young to have the ability to swim. Not only is swimming life saving, swimming is great for fitness, rehabilitation and builds confidence in and out of the pool. DONT WAIT!!!!!! Come and join our learn to swim family today, if you have any further questions or enquiries don't hesitate to give us a call.
