🌍 Celebrate International Day of Sign Languages! 🌍
Every year on September 23rd, we join the global community in celebrating the International Day of Sign Languages along with the International Week of the Deaf. This special day is dedicated to celebrating, protecting, and supporting the diverse cultures and linguistic identities of deaf people and sign language users worldwide. 👐💬
Let’s celebrate the importance of sign languages and the vibrant cultures they represent! Here are some things you can do:
* Use it: If you know sign language, use it today!
* Learn it: Pick up some new signs or start learning sign language.
* Join in: Attend a sign language event.
* Support: Buy from Deaf-owned businesses and support Deaf organisations.
* Share: Talk to your friends, family, and colleagues about sign language and Deaf culture.

Today is World Alzheimer’s Day. We come together globally to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. It’s a day to educate ourselves and others about the impact these conditions have on millions of lives.
Let’s take a moment to empathise with those affected by Alzheimer’s and their families. It’s a journey filled with challenges, but also moments of love and resilience.
Share this post, start a conversation, or participate in local events. Every action counts in making a difference.

A huge thank you to our Sponsors, whose support makes these events possible (listed below), and to all the Exhibitors who joined us to connect with our attendees.
We will see you again in September 2025!

Today is R U OK? Day! It’s our national day of action to remind Australians to ask, “Are you OK?”
People with disabilities are at a higher risk of su***de. A 2023 report from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare found that those under 65 who use disability services have a su***de rate three times higher than the general population of the same age. This statistic is a stark reminder of the challenges faced by our community members with disability.
Let’s take action today. Reach out to someone you know and ask, “Are you OK?” Your conversation could make a big difference. Together, we can support each other and work towards a future where everyone feels heard and valued. 💛
