Legendary singer-songwriter Sade is set to return to music with a brand new song - ‘Young Lion’ - dedicated to her Trans son 🤍

The track will appear on ‘Transa’, a compilation album supporting Trans+ awareness that is slated for a 22 November release.

“Trans people have always existed, with many different names across time and culture, often as spiritual healers and leaders,” said a message on Sade’s social media.

“As global systems continue to fail humanity and all life on Earth, the journey taken by trans people – and all peoples who have been oppressed – is a blueprint of possibility. May this be a glimpse of our collective liberation, and the light inside all of us.”

Other artists contributing to ‘Transa’ include Sam Smith, André 3000 and Jeff Tweedy.

Jemuel is a well known Canberra based talented music producer and audio engineer who runs NewBorn Noise as one of his many creative projects. This legend has been producing, writing and mixing music for the past 6 years and worked with some brilliant local and international artists. Some of the acts who he has shared the stage with as a performer YNG MARTYR Terror Reid Kobie Dee Timomatic Citizen Kay Genesis Owusu Tasman Keith Mitchos Da Menace Scarecrow, Tivien, Chillcheney and many more!

NewBorn Noise can also be found running Hip Hop Workshops at The Street University Canberra as a music facilitator as well as putting on live music events each month. This talented musician loves to "help young independent artists develop their craft/image by running writing, creative, stage presence, production and confidence-building exercises"

If you have ever had the luck to see one of his live shows then you already know the chilled vibe that Jem brings to each performance and his passion to interact with the audience so today my loves you are in for a treat 😘

Southsiders rejoice! The Canberra Electric Bike Library is opening a new Kambah satellite location. No need to trek all the way to Downer, now you can pick up and drop off electric bikes Southside. 🚲🥳

Our Kambah hub is open Friday’s during the hours of 2-6pm. It is located in the grounds of the ACT Diversity Hub, at 8 Laidlaw Place.

Our bike library officer Duncan will be on site each Friday. Duncan has been riding, tinkering and enjoying bikes (and ebikes) for 65 years. He has cycled around Australia with his children, and maintains a personal fleet of 8 bikes, including 2 electric bikes. Duncan will be on hand at Kambah to answer any bike related questions you may have and help you on your ebike journey! Make him feel welcome!
