Where the journey began...
In late 2014, Anthony Ives (Ant) met Andrew Rickard at an ‘open mic’ music evening at the Fyshwick Tavern. This unlikely meeting in an unlikely locale gave birth to a musical collaboration between the two that continues to this day; it was the beginning of what we know today as Carnival Road.

We are pleased, thrilled and honoured to announce that tomorrow morning 'Ant' will be having a chat with Emma Bickley on ABC Radio Canberra 666's Saturday Breakfast show about Carnival Road's new recording of the song "Farrer Ridge".
"Farrer Ridge" was written by Ant in mid to late 2003, and is a songline reflection about the January 2003 Canberra bushfire disaster, and Canberra's recovery in the aftermath of that disaster.
Carnival Road re-recorded "Farrer Ridge" in November 2022 in commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the 2003 Canberra Bushfire disaster.
Our new recording of Farrer Ridge has not been officially released yet... so tune in to ABC Radio (Canberra) 666's Breakfast Show tomorrow morning between 10.30am and 11.00am and have a listen!!!

Tomorrow morning at about 7.40 one of our recent recordings Farrer Ridge, will be played on VALLEY FM 89.5 ! Part of commemoration of the 2003 bushfires.
