School zones are back in force from tomorrow, so remember to slow down and obey speed limits around our schools.

40 km school zones are in effect around ACT schools between 8 am and 4 pm Monday to Friday.

You can expect to see mobile speed vans and licence plate recognition vans around our schools to enforce safe and legal parking and driving.

Please also remember to park safely and legally to keep everyone safe – especially at school drop-off and pick-up times. A reminder to not park across pedestrian crossings, corners, verges, nature strips or paths as children may not be able to see the road clearly when trying to cross.

Giraffe embarked on a transformative journey to revamp the ANU College of Law website, transitioning it from Drupal 7 to the cutting-edge Drupal 9 platform. Undertaking a meticulous content type audit, Giraffe migrated content and development assets, ensuring a harmonious integration with the new ANU branding and visual identity. Leveraging Adobe XD, Giraffe crafted compelling mockups that served as the blueprint for the website’s redesign. Throughout the project’s lifecycle, Giraffe spearheaded robust project management, delineating clear milestones, key dates, and fostering open communication channels between all stakeholders, including ANU CoL and the Australian National University’s Information Technology Services (ANU ITS). We are really proud of this project as it was a massive undertaking with a clean, sophisticated website to show for it.

One of these partnerships was with Franklin Primary School to bring their vision to life through a range of creative solutions. From designing a captivating logo that embodies the school's ethos to crafting eye-catching signage that welcomes students and visitors alike, our team ensured every detail reflected the character of Franklin Primary. We also developed custom illustrations of five unique animal characters to reflect the PBL values of the school. With pull-up banners, marquees, and tear-drop banners showcasing the school's identity at events and gatherings, Giraffe's comprehensive approach has left a lasting impression on Franklin Primary School's community.

Giraffe has had a long-standing relationship with ACTCOSS, and we’re keen to show off some of our work with them. Crafting an iconography suite, corporate stationary, publication templates, flyers, presentation templates, and Canva templates was a rewarding journey. What fueled our passion was diving deep into defining the ACTCOSS brand values, personality, essence, promise, and positioning. At the beginning of this year, Giraffe took the helm in designing and executing a targeted Google Ads campaign. Crafting 7 unique ad groups over a span of months, our goal was to elevate Merici's online presence and drive more enrolments . As the campaign concluded, Giraffe delivered a comprehensive report to Merici, offering insights into performance, highlighting the most successful ad groups, and providing strategic recommendations for future campaigns. We are thrilled to share the amazing work Giraffe Studios has done for Lyons Early Learning Childcare School!

Our talented team was tasked with designing and illustrating a new mascot for Lyons' Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) initiative. Not stopping there, Giraffe Studios went on to develop a communication visual theme, along with supporting graphics and illustrations. You can see the approved mascot coming to life through various posters and signs throughout the school.

A Night of Achievements! Last night, the Giraffe crew had the honour of supporting our incredible team member, Naomi, at the University of Canberra Design Awards and FADx exhibition. We are bursting with pride as Naomi closed the chapter on her Bachelor of Business Management and Interaction Design degree. Naomi's dedication and talent earned her a well-deserved nomination for the Best Interaction Design Portfolio. Moreover, it was a special moment as our very own Director, Richard, had the privilege of presenting the award for Best Visual Communication Design Portfolio. Congratulations Naomi on your outstanding achievement!

Our esteemed Studio Manager, Pete, is finally heading off into the joys of retirement with his partner Robyn. It’s a big loss for Giraffe however this creates a massive opportunity for someone to step into the role of Giraffe’s chief organiser.

We could write a big list of all the things required for the role, but if you’re reading this with serious interest, you’ll know. And we’ll know if you know.

It’s a full-time in the studio role. And we’re just getting bigger and busier every year, so the possibilities are endless.
