NewActon Precinct

NewActon - left of centre, right by the lake NewActon is the home to Palace Electric Cinema, A.

NewActon is a mixed use precinct with hospitality, landscaped gardens, art, retail, residential and commercial spaces all linked by an inspired vision. More than just a place to live, work and play - NewActon’s a living art and design precinct that has won more awards (local and national) across architecture, property development and urban design than any other in Canberra’s history. The beautiful oak tree in our Eastern Courtyard recently died. It is coming down today and tomorrow, after over a century of providing shelter and orientation. We intend for it to be replaced with new life soon.

Dairy Road – Care Club 29/07/2023

~125 babies are born every week in Canberra, and many new mothers need connection with similar people.

For those smart mothers with a new bundle of joy, Care Club is a refuge. The curated program has music, performance, facilitated discussion and creative workshops. It is on the first Tuesday morning of each month, at Dairy Road's Flow Yoga Canberra. Please share to those preparing to give birth, and mums with small babies.

Dairy Road – Care Club Dairy Road is an interconnected neighbourhood slowly developing in Canberra’s East Lake, between the industrial suburb of Fyshwick and the Jerrabomberra Wetlands.

Robin Blau's artwork has a clock that horologists can't fix. It's always 6:50. The work happens to be called Time Thief.

Photos from Palace Cinemas's post 27/03/2023

This upcoming release at our Palace Electric Cinema sounds to be one of the best movies of the year. Who knew 100% is possible on Rotten Tomatoes?

Spread your wings and fly. Not even the Time Thief could stop 2023 from coming. Make it the best. Make it yours.

The man. The myth. The machine. The bloodline of Enrique Iglesias. It's time to say goodbye to this undeniable legend.

Joel 'The Spectacles' Groves has been a stalwart of the Jinks family. He brought a smooth grace to concocting cocktails and quiet confidence to caring for customers. It's what made him a fan favourite among late-night-goers and a brother-in-arms for the High Jinks team. He kickboxed his way into our hearts and, unfortunately for us, has now moonwalked over to our good friends at .act

You're an absolute weapon, Joel. We're sad to see you go but there's no holding back a shooting star. See you back in the basement anytime!

Molonglo's new precinct, Dairy Road, will launch its master plan from this Sunday, with a month of programs. A new exhibition will present the key ideas that have shaped the future plans for the site.

The launch day includes the Dairy Road Market, Cellar Door wine market, Capital Brewing Co.'s birthday concert, object-based play, a theatre and a restaurant opening in the emerging precinct, all this Sunday from 10am.

Designed by David Chipperfield Architects, Assemble UK and Jane Irwin Landscape Architecture, the blueprint for the evolving neighbourhood at Dairy Road follows a different pattern of development.
