What’s been going on in the caravan ?
After we gutted it all, we added the new insulation, then Installed the walls. We used 3.2mm caravan lining from . These are very light, affordable and easy to cut/ install. They are also pretty bendy which is a bonus.
Next up will be adding all the trims around the windows and the door. We’ll also fix + install the new flooring and work on the electrical !
Taking it one step at a time and not rushing :)

Nice transformation for this good quality tv unit. Though it was lacking modernity, this cabinet was in great shape. All it needed was a refresh. Painted with highgate semi gloss ; a light grey colour. I updated some pulls by spraying them silver. For the top I used a custom blend of greys/ white and beige.

Antique side cabinet fresh up 🌟
Even though the integrity of the cabinet was great, it was still a big job to get this right.
My first challenge was that I couldn’t remove the handles, which makes it tricky to refinish them. I used a golden wax and applied with a brush.
My second and most annoying issue was…. Yep you guessed it right : BLEED THROUGH 🥴
Painting semi gloss white over antique walnut is so hard. I used my trusty old shellac primer, and as usual it saved me 🙏
The colour used for this piece is vivid white by dulux, a pure and crisp white that matches with any aesthetic.

Wow this piece has been an incredible project ! From an outdated brown to a classic black, it’s got its glory back.
Custom made and imported from Egypt in the 90’, it’s been sitting in the same home for over two decades.
It was time for me to use my secret tips and transform it into something more modern.
I started by removing the doors and all the very rococo hardware, I then covered the mirrors with a backing.
I also created some new shelves to accommodate plenty of books and home decor.
Spray painted in a nice satin black & embellished with simple golden k***s.
I refinished the interior but kept the original wood finish.
This beauty is outrageously heavy, 100% real wood throughout, it is by far the heaviest piece I ever work on, making it a real challenge to move and transport.
It’s new owner will have to arrange freight.

What a great honour it is when clients trust me with their family herloom.
For this one I sanded the old finish, fixed some chipped spot, restained and varnished. I am very proud of this project it was so much fun 🥰

I cannot tell you how much I love this piece ! It’s perfectly imperfect but has so much character and charm.
Not only is it cool, but it’s also extremely solid and well manufactured (100% Tasmanian oak throughout)
I achieved this look using a router and creating fake drawers front into the doors (there are only four drawers and four doors)
Painted in oil based chalkboard paint, sealed with liquid wax, distressed by hand for a organic and authentic look.

Finally decided to follow my gut feeling.
Even though I love working from home, I feel like I need to challenge myself even more.
After 4 years refinishing furniture, I can now say I have the knowledge and assurance to tackle some larger scale projects.
Colour cove will still be focusing on furniture refurbishing but will also include a bunch of new services such as kitchen and bathroom remodel, accent walls and doors painting etc.

Absolutely nothing went to plan, I’ve spent way to many hours than I would have wanted to.

Cute little set of bedside tables. Love the shape of these.
Sanded throughout with 240, used ESP to clean and degrease, primed with shellac then painted with aquanamel. They came out so good, swipe for the before pic

Piece 7/7 out of this big set ! All done, so happy with everything.
This big coffee table got a nice fresh start, it was pretty dinted but in overall great shape.
