I have learned from owning different businesses over the last 20 + years, if you want to transform your business into an income-generating machine, you need a consistent stream of new customers.
Most businesses can’t get a consistent stream of new customers relying on referrals or waiting for customers to appear on your doorstep magically.

Your conversations with your patients shouldn’t be just talking about random events throughout your consultation.
You should ask your patient questions about the most significant issue their problem causes.
This will arm you with vital info for later reference when recommending your treatment plan.
For example, what is the biggest issue your knee injury is causing you?
Answer: Well, apart from the pain every time I put weight on it, it prevents me from going to work.
Now you know that they need to get back to earning an income as quickly as possible.
Always try to pre-frame your treatment plan specifically for each patient, depending on their most significant issue.
In this case, it could be something like, If I could give you a plan to return back to work as quickly as possible, would you follow it?
Because you have aimed the question at their problem, the chances are they will say yes.
Then you present them with your recommended treatment plan, including their home exercises.
When they agree with the treatment plan, get them to pre-book all follow-up treatments.
I know it doesn’t always go this well, but if you go in with a plan and a bit of practice, it works most of the time.

We all have made some new years resolutions before and not achieved them.
We don’t consider the impact of what is needed to achieve the new year’s resolution.
Before long, we find it too difficult and just give up.
What if you tried something different this year, like make a new years resolution that you would achieve all your goals this year.
Sounds great but is it realistic?
Well, it can be if you start with goals that are really easy to achieve.
The key is they must be beneficial to your future self.
In other words, they must have real long term benefits to you!
Say you wanted to have a healthier lifestyle.
Instead of saying I am going to the gym 3 times a week for the next 3 months, which is excellent.
But you end up going to the gym only a couple of times and give up because something comes up and you don’t end up going to the gym, and you have failed to achieve your goal.
This soon becomes a bad habit of lying to yourself.
What should you do instead?
First, make a commitment to do what you say you are going to do.
It must be comfortable and beneficial.
Like you are going to prepare 1 healthy meal a week.
Pick a day and a time then, do it for a month.

First, you did that you said you were going to do and then, you prepared one healthy meal every week for one month.
Now you have achieved two goals!!

Now you can keep this up and add another simple goal.
Choose something from a different area of your life.
It could be your career, but still, keep it simple so you will do it!
It could be something simple, like reducing your time on social media and replacing it with changing your environment.
Then find someone or a group on Facebook to join in or follow and participate in the conversations.
That helps you get the results you are looking for and do it for just 15-minutes one night a week.
