Today we say goodbye to our first ever apprentice George Hayward ! Starting his time with us in late February 2019, George completed his Certificate III in Engineering- Fabrication this year. We wish him all the very best as he heads west. We will miss you!

What a ripper MFE Staff Christmas party 🎄🧡💙 This year we jumped on the bus and wheeled our way to the Condamine Hotel for lunch and drinks, then we stopped off at Kogan creek hotel for a drinks break and a few snacks. We finished up our day at Warra Hotel with some Karaoke 🎤 Great fun time and the singing certainly showed that some of us need to keep our day jobs 😂

Yesterday our GM Louise spoke at the Australian Industry Group Women in Manufacturing breakfast held in Toowoomba. Her message to all was to focus and embrace the diversity that comes from employing not only women but from all different backgrounds and the depth of knowledge and creative thinking this adds to our team!

Mary-Anne and MurFEy had a great day at the 2023 Chinchilla Careers Expo on Wednesday. MurFEy even got into some selfies with some of the students! A great day for for students to learn about careers that are available from local businesses and employers. Valuable insight and career information was given as to the education and future pathway studies needed to achieve future career goals. Congratulations to all businesses that participated in showcasing career options to all the students that attended and to Chinchilla State High School for hosting the event!

We were delighted to sponsor the morning tea for attendees of the BEST group last week for a tour of the Trade Training Centre. MFE are excited to support the BEST group and Chinchilla High School and look forward to greeting students for some guidance from our team there in the near future.

Our BBQ fundraiser for May was the Mothers Day Classic which raises funds for breast cancer - contributions of $319 were raised on the day! Karen then participated in the 4klm walk on the 14th May. Thank you to all who donated to this worthy cause.
