Ever done a poo so good, it deserves a medal? 💩🥇

Here are some key tips to make sure you win gold with your next trip to the toilet. 👇

When on the loo:
🚽 sit with your knees higher than your hips
🚽 lean forward with your elbows on your knees
🚽 relax your stomach
🚽 don’t sit on the toilet for too long to avoid Haemorrhoids
🚽 wipe front to back to avoid UTIs.
🚽 flush the toilet.

Don’t forget to wash your hands afterwards.

On your marks, get set, poo!

Find your nearest Medicare Urgent Care Clinic 05/02/2024

Do you know that Medicare Urgent Care Clinics (UCCs) have opened in every state and territory. Taking the strain off hospital emergency departments, they give Australians more options to see a doctor or nurse for urgent, but not life-threatening, illnesses or injuries.
Medicare Urgent Care Clinics (UCCs) provide bulk billed, urgent care in a GP setting, so you don’t have to wait in a hospital emergency department, simply bring your Medicare Care with you. 58 Medicare UCCs have been established in existing general practice clinics, community health centers and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services across Australia.
Clinics are open early and late; seven days a week and you don't need an appointment or referral. You can walk in and wait to be seen.
You can easily locate your nearest Medicare Urgent Care Unit via the link below:

https://www.health.gov.au/find-a-medicare-ucc

Please note: If you or a loved one has a life-threatening injury or illness, do not attend a Medicare UCC. Call triple zero (000) or go to your nearest emergency department.

Find your nearest Medicare Urgent Care Clinic You can walk into any Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (Medicare UCC) in Australia for bulk billed urgent care. Use the map to find your local clinic.

Gender has a significant impact on health. Even after incredible advancements in medicine, we still understand less about how many health issues affect women compared to men.
More than 1,700 women participated and discussed their health conditions and experiences with the healthcare system. These valuable insights will help shape women’s healthcare in Victoria.

The Victorian Department of Health recently alerted the public that COVID-19 transmission is rising across Victoria. The state has also seen a rapid increase in hospitalisations from the virus, with a seven-day average of 377 cases. The increases are linked to a new variant, JN.1.

Steps below can help you stay ahead of COVID-19:

- Use of mask and social distance where you can
- Get vaccinated
- Let fresh air in: open windows and doors — it reduces the spread of the virus — and meet outside when possible.
- Get test if you have symptoms
- Stay at home if you have symptoms: stay at home for at least five days, until no symptoms.
- Take antivirals: if someone is at risk of falling very sick, they may be eligible for COVID-19 antiviral medicines. They must take these within five days of developing symptoms — the sooner the better.

COVID conditions are changing. Which means now is the time to be extra careful. If you’re with someone who’s elderly, disabled or has an underlying medical condition, remember to stay home if sick, wear a mask, test before visiting, stay up to date with your vaccination, meet outdoors if you can, and remind them about COVID medicines.
