MEET THE TEAM ✨

Pat joined Michael here at RJK in 2009 after living and practicing Optometry in Queensland and Tasmania, once settled on the Coffs Coast he was able to focus on his area of interest, Children’s Vision and Behavioural Optometry. He completed further post graduate study and recieved his Masters Units in Behavioural Optometry at UNSW at the end of 2012. Pat is a member of the Optometrists Association Australia (OAA) and is also a member of the Australian College of Behavioural Optometrists (ACBO).

Pat is married to Meagan (a physiotherapist) and they have two teenage children Clare and Sean. Outside of work, Pat enjoys almost any sport, music and reading. As a family, the Kellys enjoy bushwalking, camping or other active pursuits. 😊

Here at RJK Optometry children’s consultations may be different.
We can examine babies and toddlers through to young adults. These examinations can vary greatly depending on the needs of the child.
We can detect and manage a variety of conditions in children including turned eyes, lazy eye, reading and focussing difficulties.

We pride ourselves on our quality control procedures which include double checking the prescription and measurements for the specific lens type, making sure the lenses fit the frames correctly, checking that the frame is in 'standard alignment' and that all screws are tight and of course making sure your lenses are sparkling clean 😃

Last Wednesday we had Ian and Michael from Mako Australia in the practice providing us with training on the Mako sunglass frames and prescription lenses.

It is so important to us as a practice to keep up to date with all of our frame and lens companies by having regular training sessions so we can always provide exceptional service.
