๐ซฑโ๐ซฒ๐ฝPrimacy Care Australia are looking forward to working closely with Dr Virginia Farnsworth on many future projects.
โด๏ธ As we are pioneers of , we have been working on the redevelopment of (version 2 of Psychosocial Recovery Coaching). This includes the training, development and group supervision for all staff across Primacy Group Australia.
๐Education and Background:
Dr Virginia is a registered Clinical Psychologist working in private practice. She is also the Clinical Advisor for Community Alcohol and Drug Services, Waitemata District Health Board. She graduated from the University of Auckland with a Doctor of Clinical Psychology and holds Bachelor's Degrees in Science, Arts and Music. Her work has involved developing and teaching health programs and wellbeing courses for organisations, including secondary schools, universities, multidisciplinary performing arts clinics, and Community Alcohol and Drugs Service.
๐ Dr Virginia is an active researcher; her investigations into positive psychology and mindfulness help highlight what actions lead to optimal self-regulation and wellbeing. In private work, she provides comprehensive psychological support for various mental health issues, including stress, performance anxiety, depression and self-esteem issues. She is known in the community for her development of motivational interviewing in group work and is a member of MINT, the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers.

Following on from our epic opening at our Beenleigh office on Tuesday last week, Wednesday night saw some of our PrimacyCare Australia team attend the Australian Disability Service Awards night on the Gold Coast.
Hosted by the team at One Community it was an incredible night celebrating the achievements of not only the nominees and winners but a whole sector of people who are dedicated to providing the best support and outcomes for all people living with a disability.

This week is international Transgender Awareness Week. There are many ways to show your support for Trans people within your community and your life. From recognising and respecting one's pronouns to spreading the awareness message. 'Coming Out' as an ally allows those closest to you to feel safe and secure, hate and bigotry can be so subtle and hidden in their lives that being forward and outspoken for their rights provides them with the ability to live and love safely, happily and inclusively.

Oh what a night! We had a fantastic time celebrating the official opening of our new Queensland office with staff, providers, stakeholders, family and friends last week. Thank you to everyone who took the time to come and join us on the night.
The Beenleigh hub is a QLD base to not only PrimacyCare Australia but also Recovery Plus Support and Maple Plan Pty Ltd - NDIS Plan Management Provider with room for future allied health professionals to join us!

Last night we had the opportunity to celebrate the official opening of our new office in Beenleigh Queensland. The shared space also houses the Recovery Plus Support and Maple Plan Pty Ltd - NDIS Plan Management Provider QLD teams. It was a fantastic night and we enjoyed meeting everyone in person. Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a great event!
