Didn’t win MasterChef but I won something so much better. ❤️

For the last few months I got to put everything I had into my dream. I got the call for MasterChef and I was heading away with a few days notice and because of my amazing girl I was able to leave all my responsibilities at home.

The competition was bloody stressful but I had so much love and support.

When I found out I won some money, I was best deciding on how best to spend it. The first thing that came into my mind was a ring. Don’t get me wrong food is still my dream but this amazing woman here is my future.

I’m proud of punch of how I did on the show but I honestly owe half of it her.

Cheers to a lifetime of laughs gorgeous. 🥂🍻

Sarah and Billie, that was bloody tough but you guys were tougher. You deserve your place in the finale and I couldn’t be prouder that I got to cook alongside you tonight.


HIGHLIGHTS
My experience has been nothing short of life changing. I can’t list my favourite moment because I’ve loved every second.

The best thing about this competition is that you have people from all walks of life, coming together, sharing their passion and having a crack at their dream. I used to be too shy to post a photo of something I cooked on social media but now I look at me.

MATES
It’s no secret I’ve got two new brothers Matt and Michael, thank you for the beers and support. Also thank you to my sister Steph, you’re as good as gold.

Jules thank you for making me feel like I had a slice of home with me, you’d fit into the NT nicely. The warm hugs and kind words were always appreciated.

JUDGES
Andy, you are true blue with a heart of gold. Your journey during and after the competition reminded me daily what is possible.

Mel your kindness constantly picked me up and reminded me to take a breathe and to back myself.

Jock even though you still scare me slightly, your tough love helped me thrive and push harder for greatness every cook.

I will be forever grateful for your guidance.

Everyone from home who rallied behind me and lifted me up are a huge part of why I made it.

Shout out to my parents and incredible girl especially, I will never stop thanking you for your love and support.

I also can’t thank all of my new friends enough. You’re all amazing and I’m so thankful.

Tonight was tough. Saying goodbye to my last fellow fan, and great mate was emotional. I don’t think any one, including Keyma and I thought we’d both be in the Top 4 but we bloody did it.

My favourite memories of you will be your constant salsa dancing and passion for food.

I know you will continue to shock everyone by how much you achieve. Onwards and upwards mate Keyma Vasquez Montero💪

Tonight’s elimination shocked us all.
Julie Goodwin you are the bloody best. You have the biggest heart in the world and proudly wear it on your sleeve. Yes, you’re an amazing cook but what’s even better is you’re a spectacular lady.

My journey would look a lot different without you. Thank you for always checking in on me. Whenever I struggled you were there rallying around me. Whether it be a silly pun, a kind word or a big old Mum hug, you were always an amazing support.

They talk about MasterChef being a family and I reckon the heart of that is you Jules.

Love you mate, get the pizza oven ready for when I come for a visit and chinwag. ❤️
