🌟 What an amazing morning it was at theDarrandirra Child and Family Centree for Close the Gap Day! 🌟

It was incredible to partner witDanila Dilba Health Servicece to bring our community together to reaffirm our commitment to Closing the Gap in health and life expectancy between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.

At CAAPS, we're proud to stand by this dedication, ensuring every individual has equitable access to health and well-being. Through our various programs and initiatives, we're tirelessly working to empower Aboriginal people and communities and address social determinants of health.

Today served as a powerful reminder that this effort requires a collective approach. Let's keep the conversation going, share insights, and advocate together for policies prioritising Aboriginal health.

Together, we can pave the way for a more equitable future for all.

Bring your own data to contribute! Whether it's statistics, service facts, or insights, we want to hear from you. Let's paint a picture of what's working and where the gaps are in our community.

The previous week, members of the CAAPS team, Mantiyupwi directors, and the coordinator of the Pumulayu Child and Family Centre travelled
to Alice Springs to participate in the Child and Family Centres Forum. This event provided an excellent platform for exchanging achievements and insights, while also engaging in future planning.

As a dedicated Ngaruwanajirri (helper) organisation, CAAPS is committed to walking with Matiyupwi through a two-way learning process for the establishment of the Wurrumiyanga Pumulayu Child and Family Centre.
