Alawa & Surrounds Community Food Security Co-Op

With recent & current events being blamed for increased costs & no real end or relief in sight, our food security becomes far more paramount than ever before.
With that in mind obviously one of the best ways to create that security is to grow it ourselves.

Problem : Not many of us have the space, time or means to achieve any level of real food security. This is why looking back to move forward is our best option & that means community based systems for our basic needs is the most logical way to look forward.

Solution : Well, it's a start, and all great things stem from smaller beginnings, so lets band together for our own small beginning for the next food revolution because the systems version truly does fail us in so many ways.

Great, but how & where do we start?

It's as easy as joining us here & just communicating.
Oh, & it will help if you grow something, a few things, anything... .. but we can certainly advise what our community is short on & we have a wealth of information & support to boot so why wait, it wont cost you cent & you may even make a few friends & meet many of your neighbours in the process. Maybe we aren't such a bad bunch after all! 😉

Endgame :

Our goal is to create a strong community support system for our overall food security.

[Our base garden is completely organic & grows a wide variety of produce inc. MANY asian herbs & veggies with a large variety of chilis, assorted herbs, various fruits & veggies etc... we even have an aquaponics bed]
