Thank you to our hard working Committee who organised the 2024 Presentation at the beautiful Darwin Turf Club venue.

It was one of the best events in years, great crowd, delicious food, fantastic speeches, everyone singing to the music and having fun and the room looked simply amazing. Everyone is already excited for the 2025 Season 🐉❤️🤍💚

It was wonderful to have Stem Edwards at presentation night and share some words with the room at the end of the evening!

The Men’s Best & Fairest award is named after Stem and Jackie’s son Michael ‘Wally’ Edwards, who lived and breathed rugby league and particulary the Nightcliff Dragons . Red, White and Green was in his blood - he wore his heart on his sleeve and was most passionate about his club.

Wally played from Under 5 to seniors never digressing from Dragons in any way even when offered large sums to go to other club – he remained a true Dragon .

The award was named in his honour after his tragic passing and the first ever recipient was Kris Shirley in 2005. Kris’s son Laitham is now a Michael ‘Wally’ Edwards medallist alongside back to back joint medallist Brenton Motlop.

Stem was very proud, especially having a long time connection to both families 🐉❤️🤍💚
