Such a shame on the current Government that this legislation passed through Parlaiment without meaningful consultation. Feel free to express your concerns through your local member of Parlaiment by presenting this statement below in the comments section. Unfortunately it will only mean more $$ for consumers at the end of the day!! Let's hope manufacturers don't remove themselves from our market because of it!!

Stay safe out there on the tracks.

The Mount Lofty Rangers 4WD Club of SA undertook a ā€˜mini cleanupā€™ while touring around Beachport during the Australia Day Long Weekend. Sadly, they didnā€™t need to try very hard, and it certainly didnā€™t turn out very ā€˜miniā€™.

KESAB provided rubbish bags to club members. As they toured around the area, on the beaches and in the dunes, when they stopped, they picked up rubbish. Items varied from bottles and cans to nappies, car parts and ropes, nets, floats and tubs from fishing boats.

They couldnā€™t stop for all the rubbish as they would not have got to their destination.

The following post is from a Cape York Facebook site, sadly this type of behaviour is becoming widespread across Australia. The throw-away don't care society of today, is going to also throw away our access to enjoy our recreation. The focus of comments about these types of posts is labelling this type of thing as "disgusting, lowlifes, grubs, filthy pigs, authorities need to throw the book at them, need more ranges, so on and so on, when really what needs to happen is people need to take control of there own actions. There will be a National campaign started by a SA 4wd Club about trying to educate on the correct way to use your bowels in the bush. If you care about camping in a clean campsite and if you care about our beautiful country, please support the I Give a Crap publication and help stop putting Crap on Australia.

" W have just come off the OTT one of the biggest shocks for us was how dirty the campsites were. Such a shame. Elliotā€™s was the only one we found didnā€™t have people's poo everywhere and toilet paper and baby wipes- I get that there are toilets there but we also saw a lot of the uses of the sites have toilet tents as well. Noalans on the north side was shocking, with poo-stained baby wipes hanging in trees. No toilet tent on site which would be fine if people burnt their wipes/paper. Maybe we were unlucky with our trip but sad to see in such a beautiful place."
