Never really posted much on politics, however, during the election debates, our business was mentioned in relation to our decision to shut up shop in Darwin due to concerns about crime and antisocial behaviour.

In light of yesterday’s results, we are optimistic for Darwin and the NT. The people in the NT have spoken and have voted for change. We hope this change is for the better and that we get our safety and our Territory lifestyle back.

We’ve been given the incredible opportunity to keep serving our delicious gelato until the end of August, and we couldn’t be more grateful! Our customers are thrilled to have an extra four weeks of the best gelato in town. 🍦💖

But let’s be real for a moment. While we’re celebrating, we can’t ignore the tough reality we’re facing. Just this week, we’ve witnessed horrific acts of violence on our streets. Seeing such brutality is heartbreaking and takes a toll on all of us. 💔 reach out and get help if you need.

Despite these challenges, we’re committed to bringing some laughter and joy to this sad time. Humor has a unique power to lift our spirits, and we hope to bring a smile to your face every time you visit Johnn Johnn’s. 😄

We deeply appreciate the support and care from all our wonderful customers. Our dream is for Darwin to be a happy and peaceful place where we can all share, enjoy, and love together. Right now, our leadership may be falling short, but we believe in the beauty and potential of our community.

Today we are grateful for all that Darwin has to offer! Easy to get around, sunshine/sunsets, thunderstorms, fishing, hunting, camping and above all the amazing friendly community

2 weeks from now will be our closing day. What a journey the last 6.5 years have been!
