I was having one of those days last week…

Those ones where you are juggling all the balls in the air, coming through on deadlines on the buzzer, working at home during your toddlers nap, tripping over housework you haven’t had time to do, I forgot to eat lunch and then I crawled into bed at the end wondering how in hell I made it through 😵‍💫

I was venting to a friend about it and she asked me; “why do you do it then? Like what even is the point of it all if it’s so chaotic?”

🍸 March Recap 🍸

What a crazy month it has been! It’s been one of those months that at the time we couldn’t wait for it to be over because it’s so busy, but when we’ve looked back on it we feel so proud of the incredible work we pulled off for our clients! 🥹

In March, we onboarded two new clients, had 3 content sessions, filmed 2 events, churned out 177 pieces of content, stayed up to date with a number of social media platform changes and drank copious amounts of coffee!!

As my business expands in 2024, I am actively recruiting a Social Media Content Creator who will collaborate closely with myself as the strategist.

The overview:

👉 The primary responsibilities include the creation of engaging posts, crafting compelling captions, and producing and editing captivating reels for our clients. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in implementing the social media strategy, under guided supervision.

📍 Based on the North West Coast of Tassie, the role will require travel to various filming locations.

A new year, a fresh start and opportunity for growth ⚡️

Welcome to 2024! This week I am back on the ground and getting ready for what I am believing will be an impactful year for both Fearless Business Collective and my incredible clients.

2024 for me is all about:
🍸 Bringing fresh and leading edge social media strategy to the coast of TAS
🍸 Serving my clients with transparency, result-driven content and relational first partnership
🍸 Pushing the boundaries of what social media can look like for a business
🍸 Getting back into consulting- teaching and training is a huge passion of mine
🍸 Continuing to upskill and build the best social media agency on the coast

So many people I have spoken to have said that 2023 was a year that was completely flipped on its head in a personal sense. Then we can add to it the way social media and consumer buyer behaviour has changed in the past year- 2024 is shaping up to be a year like we have never seen before and most business owners are ready to put the pedal to the floor and charge forward at making the changes in their business and go for growth like they haven’t for a long time.

And that is exactly the space I am in as we come into 2024! 💪

🧱 IT’S TIME TO SET SOCIAL MEDIA BOUNDARIES 🧱

Often overwhelm and burnout in our business can come from not having boundaries around social media… (especially this time of year)

So we end up living on social media and feeling like this 👉🏼 😵‍💫

“But Amy I have to be on social media all the time so that I can grow my business… if I leave it for even one day my business will die”

Um… I promise you that your business WILL NOT die if you don’t get on it for one day!! 🙅🏼‍♀️

In fact, I often see businesses start to thrive when they implement boundaries around their social media because the way they are showing up becomes so much more authentic and strategic.

The hardest part of setting boundaries, is implementing them in the beginning, but once you get past that, it becomes a dream. 💫

Some boundaries I have are;
👉🏼 I set aside time in my calendar to reply to DMs.
👉🏼 I plan my content weekly.
👉🏼 I don’t do my socials on family days.
👉🏼 I flip over to my personal account on my days off, so that I’m not looking at my business account during the day.
👉🏼 I schedule time to create posts/reels so that I am not thinking about it allll day.
👉🏼 I give myself social media breaks if I know I need them because I trust my audience and value them enough to show up with my best, and my best pours out of my looking after myself.

Going into this festive season, what are some boundaries you have that will allow you switch off? Or want to implement? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Share them to give each other inspo ✨

Why the culture of “out of this world” results is not helping your business… 😬

Everywhere you look on social media right now all I see are posts saying “make 50k a month”, “work only two hours a day”, “sign your next 10k a month client” “get your 1000th course sale overnight”.

And I'm gonna say it… 🙊

But I honestly think this “millionaire mindset” culture is actually negatively affecting so many small business owners and holding you back from stepping into the growth of your business.

Because it’s okay if what would make you happy right now is…
👉 Signing 4 monthly clients
👉 Making $2k consistently every month
👉 Making enough profit to invest in a new laptop
👉 Matching your two days a week job to not have to go back to work after maternity leave
👉 Helping other people with something you’ve struggled with

It’s so important to work on our money mindset don’t get me wrong. But just because someone else’s dream life is to run a business that makes them 50k a month in sales (yes don’t forget that doesn’t mean 50k cash in your bank account 😉), doesn’t mean that you have to feel guilty or bad if that’s not your dream right now!
