C Is For Cake

Hi everyone. I haven’t posted in a while and I have noticed that I have received a few messages!! My apologies but I have not been using the page so I did not see them. Just to let everyone know, I am not doing cakes professionally anymore. With a full time job and 3 kids I just don’t have the time, and on top of that the costs are just too high to make it worth that extra time. I will continue to post any cakes I make for family/friends but will not be taking any orders. Thanks!

Caramel mud cake with white chocolate buttercream, salted caramel ganache ( Made with my YIAH Salted Caramel Powder!) and chocolate swirl shards! 😊. Topped it off with some edible gold glitter!!

An 18th Birthday cake for an AFL/Soccer lover! Logos are handmade by me, and everything is edible except the goal posts and soccer net frame. The soccer net itself is edible! Got a chance to use cake lace for the first time, it is fantastic!

Giant donut cake tower!! Cake is donut flavoured with whipped cream and jam filling, white chocolate glaze. Assorted glazed donuts :) Yummy

Family Tree Cake for my Nan's 75th Birthday Party on the weekend. Each section of leaves is a different family branch. Has all my Nan's children, grand children and great grand children!! Top layer is orange and poppyseed with cream cheese icing and bottom is caramel mud cake with caramel icing! :)

C Is For Cake

American Dad inspired cake for an 18th!! Chocolate mud cake with buttercream filling and handmade fondant decoration :)

Well thanks to the power being out for 7 hours today, I am late night baking! Thankfully I'm not that much behind, luckily I only have one cake this weekend!

Engagement Cake is finished!!
Didn't do much yesterday, just 1/2 hour finishing off decorations.
Today I put all the decorations on the cake! 1 1/2 hours work!

Total Hours Of Work - 8 1/2 Hours!!
Total Cost (Ingredients + power) approx $100!
It always surprises me how expensive cake is, I haven't even charged for my labour, and am already at $100! It's crazy!! I hope this gives people an idea of exactly how much work goes into a cake, and why it costs so much!!
I'll post photos Tomorrow, as I don't like to post photos of a cake before the event, in case its a surprise, and so guests don't see it before hand :)
