** Athlete weigh-in details- according to IKMF rules every athlete needs to weighin at the competition venue.**

**Only competition Kettlebell Kings bells are used on the day- athletes are not allowed to bring their own bells *

🦘 Lift at IKMF Oceania Championship 2024
🐨 Certified IKMF judge
🦘Athlete must show one of the following:
Open & Veteran 1 class - CMS standard of lifting
Veteran 2 and 3 class- National Rank standard of lifting

In a week's time Rose, Neroli and Mark will be competing at the IKMF Oceania Championships in Bendigo, Australia. It's the 3rd year running that these 3 athletes have competed representing NZ in a range of disciplines across both Half Marathon and Marathon.

In One Arm Sn**ch 30 min. 🏆

The One Arm Sn**ch has always been and is still a discipline with a low number of athletes competing, and in 2023 that was still the case. But still much better than the TA Lifts.

The most remarkable result here is, that in OA Sn**ch Johanna Hultman was beaten!! She lost to Sari Jäntti!!

In One Arm Jerk 30 min 🏆🏆🏆
The Total number of Athletes in OA Jerk stopped going down and in 2023 I see a small increase in the numbers of athletes taking on this brutal lift - only surpassed by the TA Jerk!!
We had 16 women and 12 Men lifting!

2023 is the third year in a row with total swedish domination, and Sweden wins 4 out of 5 categories!!!! WOW!!

I OALC we had 43 Women and unfortunately only 30 men lifting their guts out! That is a solid increase for the Women and a remarkable drop by the men!! Do NOT keep that up in 2024!!

OALC was dominated by Sweden and Australia (as usual ) BUT I want to give a special shouout to the FIRST ever lifter fra New Zaeland Neroli King!!! Welcome!!

Another kettlebell opportunity during the year is the Ultimate Girevik Cup - an online kettlebell half marathon league.

* held in 3 stages throughout the year: basically January/February - May, May to August, September to December (4 months per Stage)
* 30minute duration in all disciplines
* sets have to be videoed and or done live by a certain date when each stage closes
* Results are submitted after each Stage
* worldwide results are tabulated and announced in January 2025

This is a great opportunity to pick a discipline(s) and try to improve on your results each Stage by either lifting a heavier bell each time and /or increasing your reps.

Plus nothing is stopping you from entering all disciplines each Stage!!!!

It's well worth including the UGC in your plan of competitions to aim for😀.

****Every athlete and club representative across Australia is welcome to participate as there are no memberships tied to IKMF****

What a year 2023 was- we had athletes receiving international IKMF MSWC ranks at our main event- Oceania championships, trying out double Pentathlon, cash prices for our top lifters, lifted and cheered on each other & one of our athletes got a podium placement at World Championships this year- congratulations Roger Saheli 🎉 🌏🦘🇦🇺🐨

As the year is closing in there will be some changes with Kettlebell Marathon Association Australia 🦘🌏

✅No more an active committee or yearly memberships for the lifters
✅We will be running IKMF Australia competitions only, and the main event being IKMF Oceanias in 10-11th August 2024 (athletes can receive international ranks up to MSWC )
✅ Competitions will be open to everyone in Australia no matter what lifting ability you are, or what club you represent
✅ Competition fees will be organized and received by the competition host
✅ UgC stage 1-3 will be run throughout 2024 (live or video)
✅ More opportunities for lifters to represent Australia overseas at IKMF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS each year
✅ Please contact us if you would like to host a competition in 2024
✅ If you are planning to travel to Denmark in May 2024 please email us by 10th January for a uniform order!
