🌭 Volunteers needed for School Open Night! 🌭

The P&C is looking some BBQ volunteers to help at the school open night on the 19th of June .

We will be running a roster to ensure that you will still have a chance to visit your child’s classroom and see their hard work.

We are after approximately 6 people for each shift (3:30pm to 5pm which includes setup and 5pm to 6:30pm including helping to pack up)

This Friday 31 May, the Jump Jam Squad invite students to come dressed as their favourite celebrity. A gold coin donation towards the squads fundraising would be appreciated.

ENROLMENTS FOR 2025 CLOSE 19 JULY 2024

In Western Australia, children can start their education in Kindergarten, however compulsory schooling starts the following year in Pre-primary. All children of compulsory school age must be enrolled in school and attend every day — this is the law.

You need to apply to enrol your children in school for 2025 if they are:

· Starting Kindergarten—4 years old by 30 June 2025

· Starting Pre-Primary, the first year of compulsory school—5 years old by 30 June 2025

· Starting Year 7, the first year of secondary school

· Changing schools

The closing date for all Applications is Friday, 19 July 2024. Please note Applications for Enrolment are not to be confused with Enrolments. All applicants will be contacted shortly after the closing date advising if their application has been successful and invite them to return and complete enrolment forms.



WE ARE NOW TAKING EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR CHILDREN STARTING KINDERGARTEN IN 2025

(CHILDREN BORN BETWEEN 1.7.2020 - 30.6.2021)

Consideration will be given to students living outside the local intake area. Acceptance of an application, however, does not guarantee enrolment at the same school for the following compulsory year unless the child lives in that school’s local intake area. For further queries, please phone 9297-7000 or visit us between 8.30am and 3.30pm. Application forms are available from the school office or under the About us/Enrolment tab at Anne Hamersley PS

On Friday 24 May we will celebrate our amazing Parents' and Citizens’
Association (P&C). Our P&C gives so much to our school community, and P&C Day provides us the opportunity to thank and acknowledge these volunteers for all
that they do.

If you are a member of our P&C, or have assisted our P&C at meetings or at fundraising events, please join the staff on Friday morning at 11:10am, in the staffroom, for morning tea, as we say thank you for all that you do for our students and school.

On Tuesday, Brett (Mr Jump Jam) visited AHPS to take our 2024 squad through a Jump Jam Workshop. The students learnt a new routine, as well as picked up tips and tricks for the competition in October! The squad enjoyed learning from Brett and getting his autograph, too 🌟

The Midvale Parenting Hub in partnership with headspace Midland are running a ‘Tuning in to Teens’ parenting program. Please see details below if you are interested.
