Sharing the Little Green Things we LοΏ½VE. A little family venture to share our love of handmade, ho Hi I'm Mei from The Hilltop Eyrie (previously Mei & Her Boys).
This venture initially started off as a hobby, creating miniature gardens and experimenting with propagation with our boys, and hence the name Mei & her Boys. We loved sharing our creations with friends and raising funds for charities. We continue to be fascinated with the beauty and varieties of cacti and succulents available in Australia. Overtime, our little hobby evolved to become The Hilltop

To our followers, most of you have been with us for a long time, thank you for your support and love. Recently we have a brand new name but unfortunately FB hasn't been very helpful in allowing this name change to be reflected on our current FB page. Having inconsistent name with our Instagram account is confusing and hence we adapted to circumstances.
I'm very pleased to introduce our brand new page "The Hilltop Eyrie".
Please Like and Follow our new FB page "The Hilltop Eyrie" as we love to keep connected to our new small business.
We will continue to post our content, our creations and updates over at our new page and we'd loved to have you along with us in our new chapter. As a small business you Like and Comment on our post is much appreciated to keep us visible in the virtual world of social media π₯°π₯°ππ

As Mother's Day is just around the corner, I'm going to post more than one a day
Here's one too pretty not to share imho. This was an old archived photo I recently stumbled upon, it must have been taken in summer or warmer months as it's rosettes were closely held, like a bouquet of (green) roses! πΉπΉπΉ
For new comers, I'd created this little fun tag so everyone can take a break from their day, take a stroll in their garden/greenhouse/sunroom etc and showcase their favourite to celebrate the upcoming Mother's Day.
Please join me in showcasing your favourite succulent mumma and her pups.
To join the fun, and tag so I don't miss a thing. Feel free to share the love with your friends and family!

Today I received the sweetest early Mother's Day pressie from my middle baby. Oh well, he said "he's not so little anymore, he's a school kids now" π¦.
But you'll always be my baby forever. I hope all mothers everywhere feels the love of their child/children regardless of whether there's a gift or not. We have always tried to teach our children the gift of time together is the best gift of all, but if that is tricky/somewhat impossible, PLANTs never Fails!!! *Hint hint* π€£ππ
Wanna guess what lil man bought for me from his school's mother's Day stall?
Featured here is a white heart-shaped wreath. It is one of my only β€οΈ wreath made for this Mother's Day. If you think someone may like it, DM me! ππππ»π»

The wonderful world of moss is so captivating to watch, especially in a terrarium. Moss and succulents have completely different water and light requirements. However for those who have followed my account for awhile would have known my love for combining them in one vessel! Yep they will survive with the right care and love.. π₯°πβ€οΈ

Every mother deserves to be acknowledged for her love, her beauty, her achievement and her strength. When I become a mother a few years ago, I realised how much my late mother has sacrificed for us in order for us to be who and where we are today. In her honour this Mother's Day, I would like to extend her love by offering a Mother's Day special discount.
Be quick and shop π΅ or DM me to inquire.
Pickup Eltham or inquire about local delivery at a small fee.

Happy Friday!
"Mummy and I " set of planters so happy to be soaking up some beautiful βοΈβοΈβοΈ today.
Mother's Day is fast approaching and it always reminds me of my late mother and our precious moments together. She's left us more than a decade ago but we never forget her love, her strength her sacrifices and her determination in providing us with the very best every single day. She was a very easy going mum, allowing us foursome a lot of flexibility to do whatever we wished, as long as our education remained a priority.πππ
What is your mum like growing up? What are your best memories of her from childhood?

Nothing common about this one (imo), even though many regard them as common. It's been widely known that they are one of the easiest to grow but I beg to differ! π€£ππI know it's hard to believe but I'd struggle with this one. However I won't give up, as I love it's bluish grey purplish hues amongst a sea of green, so pretty like a rose amongst the thorns ... πππ€

Such a gorgeous day here in Melbourne, spent part of the morning at a local SAKG garden with the school kids. Such a refreshing and rejuvenating experience. The garden is bountiful and the chooks so adorable!
Featured here is a another of our classic favourite. This is custom made, so send me a msg if you like something similar!
Happy Hump day. A gorgeous autumn day surely lifts up the spirit and gardening vibe!
This big mumma is an Echeveria agavoides 'Lipstick' aka Red Edge. She's a beauty, showcases vibrant red edges all year long and has been popping out babies consistently with very little attention, if any at all. Isn't she just fabulous?
Do you have a similar resilient and productive mumma plant? π±π΅π·
Happy Friday!

Featured here is a jade kokedama suspended on jute. A simple kokedama like this easily brighten up any spot in the house, next to a window in the bedroom, study or kitchen! Endless possibilities πππ

And in the garden, I'd simply couldn't get pass of this little furry cluster! Ech set-oliver has soft furry green foliage with red edges and stunning vibrant orange flowers in spring.I simple in love with this and perhaps I'm biased as this echeveria does has similar name to one of our children! ππ§‘π¦
