Trying out a few things.
1. All filters (not top of the range) will be available as everyday pour over.
2. We are also serving darker roasts as pour overs for more old school Showa era Japanese Kissaten brews.
3.... Is a secret that you have to experience at the bar by yourself 😋

Lots of coffee I know, and then you might ask, what if the beans get old?
Well, we simply trust Vincent and the Mantaray team that their coffee will deliver regardless of age, and without need of freezing.

Easter break holiday hours.

Hey folks, we are taking a much needed break this Easter. We'll be closed on Friday 29/03 and will be back on Wednesday 03/04.

Hot! Cold! Hot! Cold!
Melbourne weather is crazy and that's common knowledge.

But Vincent from roasted this China, Yuan Yi Yuan, anaerobic natural, that is simply out of this world.

Amazing served hot as an espresso and filter, delightful as a chilled flash brew.

We don't rave about coffee that often, but this one deserves a standing ovation.

Bravo Maestro!

It's nice to view the cafe from the outside every now and then.

Foggy mornings, warm lights, soft jazz, hot coffee, and buttery pastries.

Our apologies for the inconvenience in advance.

Water pipe maintenance today, so we might not be able to run the espresso machine. (untill 2pm ish)

But we still have our usual 3 batch brew options, and our everyday pour over options will also be expanded just for today.

Filter coffee anyone? ☕😁

Thank you Samantha Walker Mayes for the introduction to Micah Coffee Brewers in Ferntree Gully.

Having received your email, I promised I would check them out and this morning I had the opportunity to do so.

Accompanied by my colleague Cr Meagan Baker - Dobson Ward for Knox City Council who looks after that part of Knox, we caught up for brunch.

I got to meet owners Marika and Leo, who are absolutely lovely and passionate about their new business venture. I appreciated hearing about their vision to deliver excellence in hospitality and barista made coffee as well as develop a business that can make the world a better place through service to social causes.

The coffee was divine...so good I had two! Smooth, flavoursome with no aftertaste..perfectly perfect.
Meagan ordered the three cheese baguette which appealed to me too, however I ended up choosing a chicken texmex? baguette with a mildly spicy sriracha sauce - yummmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I really didn't expect a cafe of this quality in this particular location, but it was outstanding. The steady flow of customers made me think I was slow to find out about this gem of a place.

Anyway, you can see I'm a fan and will definitely be going back.

I certainly love a great cappuccino and wanted to make a specific shout out to Leo, Marika and Andy from Micah Coffee Brewers, located at Hill View shops in Ferntree Gully.

This morning I had the pleasure of attending this hidden gem being Micah Coffee Brewers along with fellow Councillor Nicole Seymour - Community Matters Most. Needless to say my cappucino was great and so was the triple cheese baguette.

It is an amazing specialty coffee shop that offers a vibrant range and exceptionally good coffee, along with other coffee beverages and food including tea, sandwiches, sweets and pastries and non-coffee beverages.

Micah Coffee Brewers who opened late 2020 during the pandemic was certainly buzzing and constantly full with people meeting up coffee or grabbing their take away coffee this morning.

Micah Coffee Brewers is located in one of the smaller shopping centres here in Ferntree Gully located near Aldi, other smaller take away shops, physio clinic and pharmacy, also within walking distance from Ferntree Gully Library and Knox Environmental Society (KES).

If you love coffee and heading to one of the shops or nearby library or KES, why not pop in, say hi to the team and give them a try.

We know that times are hard but we want to be transparent with you.

Due to the rising cost of goods, labour and operational costs (and everything else), there is no choice but to increase the price of our products across the board in the 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀.

E.g. Coffee, $4.50 instead of $4.00

The change is not instantaneous. We are reviewing every product and will increase the prices through the next few weeks.

We want this whole venture to be sustainable, to pay our staffs well and to still hold true to our target of providing exceptional service and quality products at affordable prices.
