I created it because there’s a big jump from graduation to being in clinic and a business owner in one! It’s a huge emotional journey which there just isn’t enough support to navigate. I’ve seen far far too many practitioners, from all modalities, lose their confidence along the way.. which means there’s less practitioners in our communities- and we need more!

We are talking here about that moments of “whoa what happened!” Or chronic “behavioural issues”.

Stop and hug
Then ask “what’s really going on?”
Ask them if they are worried or feeling sad about something..
Let them talk

If they don’t know the answer
Make sure that you stay connected, not defensive

It will help them to process and express in time

Want To Know The Real Story Behind My Success As A Practitioner?✨

When I took my first step into clinic I turned up every single Saturday to a room within a clinic which I rented for $50 for half a day, where the other therapists were busy, to sit and my room and try..

I was so embarrassed, I had absolutely no freaking idea what to do, where to go, how to start!

It took me 7 long months to get my first client.

Then when I finally did get my first client I had no idea how to write them a proper receipt!

I spent the next few years grinding so hard. I did nannying, I worked in a newsagent, I signed up to the government NEIS program, I turned up at 7am to as many networking

events as I could..

And it still wasn’t easy but I was getting there!

I made a decision to rent a space which I could sublet.. that place was gorgeous! I loved it.. I knew other therapists would too.. then as I went to sublet it.. I realised that most other therapists were struggling just as much, if not more, than I was! I couldn’t get it to sublet!
I became pregnant and a few weeks before Christmas, just after my baby was born, one of my main financial tenants found that they couldn’t make their clinic work..
I was seriously in a hole.. first baby, having to manage a clinic and get new therapists to commit to building their own practices..
a few months later I folded it..

But yet again, that feeling is there…
Our shoulders up
Our mind frustrated
Our voice, more harsh than we mean..

We don’t mean to be like this.

But it’s all built up
We can no longer escape
Our chest starts to tighten
And the ones we love get pushed away

We know we can’t keep doing this anymore..

Getting help is scary
It means time
It means sacrifice
It means change..

Where do you even start?

Your kids need you to do it
Your partner needs you to do it
Your friends need you to do it

You need a space where you can dump it all
Every last piece
With someone who will listen
Who will hear
Who will help you uncover what’s really going on
Who will cover you in a blanket (literally!)
And help it all melt away..
