Born in Germany, I lived in Italy, France and Ireland, travelled around the world and migrated to Australia in 2011.
I’m a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist and have been working in this field since 2015. I am also a registered Touch for Health Kinesiology practitioner. I believe that change can only come from within - that's why I love TFH Kinesiology. Its true power is in developing a greater awareness of the things we really want from life and the things that block our energy to accomplish our goals and empowering us to make choices wholeheartedly for our greatest good.
The Water Element and its two meridians, bladder & kidney.
Tuning into our inner selves is what the water element is all about.
Water is very mysterious and can take many forms. It is a symbol of the unconscious, of our emotions, our dreams, of that which we do not understand. Water is essential to life. The Water element is all about life force, energy and flow.
When the Water element is balanced, one moves smoothly through life with strength, courage, and willpower. There's a sense of flow, ease, and alignment to one's purpose or destiny.
The purpose of the kidneys is to cleanse and filter our blood, to create urine, to regulate blood pressure, and also to store energy - in Chinese Medicine, the kidneys are knowns as energy reservoirs.
The Emotion associated with the Water Element is Fear, Anxiety or Awe. When we consider how close the adrenal glands are to the kidneys, the connection with fear makes sense. The adrenals trigger the flight or fight instinct when we are under stress. The production of adrenaline and cortisol is constantly kicked into gear. This can deplete our kidney energy - we feel lack of courage, procrastination, and we might get stuck in a cycle of fear.
Fear can be an intense and debilitating emotion, preventing us from living our lives fully. Allowing ourselves to slow down is a crucial step in addressing the adrenaline rushes of everyday life. Rest, relax, take the pressure off.
How can a combination of Remedial Massage and Kinesiology help?
Your body can relax, your nervous system gets a chance to settle & enter rest-&-restore mode.
It is all about restoring the vital flow of energy and balancing our magical mind-body-system for optimal functioning - to welcome more Joy and Awe in our lifes!
The element of WOOD and all things green :-)
This is a continuation of our little journey through the ancient Chinese Five Element Cycles. This traditional Chinese paradigm is a metaphor portraying the phases of the life cycle and the natural cycles of the earth.
The Wood element is associated with the season of Spring, and its personal power metaphor is Birth. Birth symbolizes all new beginnings for life, ideas, projects, etc.
A balanced Wood element is all about growth and expansive movement, both physically and emotionally.
The associated meridians are the Liver and the Gallbladder.
Anger is the emotion of the Liver. Anger is the natural response to any interruption in the Liver’s mission to move and grow. At the same time, an excess of anger or repressed anger inhibits the Liver’s function, leading to further emotional imbalance and feelings of frustration, resentment, aggression and depression.
Is anger or irritability an emotion that is all too familiar to you? Do you find yourself filled with rage at times as you navigate the challenges of everyday life?
The Gallbladder meridian is traditionally associated with decision making, the Liver meridian controls planning. Procrastination can be a sign of an unbalanced Gallbladder.
The sound associated with the Wood element is SHOUTING! Shouting may be associated particularly with anger, but it can express any strong feeling. It may relate to giving full voice to your emotions, your message or your story.
Shouting can be very empowering and a great release, but if we habitually shout, we may need to assess whether our motivations and the circumstances warrant this behavior.
One last thing for now:
Maybe the most potent common remedy to quickly remove Liver stagnation is vinegar. Best apple cider vinegar. A tablespoon in a glass of water before meals is beneficial to the Liver and overall health.
Come & join us at the Sivananda Ashram in Beaconsfield this Sunday!
It's always such a beautiful day - definitely my favorite "Christmas market" around here.
This year I will be part of the crew in the Yoga/Wellness hall, offering tasters of Massage, Kinesiology, Reiki... hopefully joined by dear friend Nico, offering Indian head massage - and our favorite treat: 4 handed Reiki 🥰
The element of FIRE and all things red.
The Fire element can be represented by the image of the hot, red sun, giving both light and warmth. This is associated with all of life's heat and with passion, enthusiasm and vitality. You can ask yourself: Do you have enough fire in your belly?
JOY is one of the emotions associated with Fire. Not only Joy as in 'getting a kick out of life', but Joy as in 'being satisfied and having a sense of peace and well-being'.
Interestingly, Joy is not seen as an entirely positive emotion. Overexcitement and too much stimulation can cause us to feel anxious and jittery. How do we calm ourselves when the Fire gets a little too hot?
LOVE is another emotion associated with Fire.
There are 4 meridians in the Fire element - only 2 in every other element. While it is important to allow ourselves to experience all of the emotions, maybe we need to have twice as much love and joy?
The 4 meridians are the heart, small intestine, pericardium, and triple warmer. There is lots to say about these 4, but I'll try to keep it simple for now.
"The Heart is the sovereign of all the organs and represents the consciousness of one's being. It is responsible for intelligence, wisdom and spiritual transformation." (Yellow Emperor's Classic of Medicine).
The Small Intestine is know as the Internal Alchemist, the Separator of the Pure from the Impure.
The Pericardium protects the Heart from emotional distress in the other organs.
The Triple Warmer is the meridian that controls our fight, flight, or freeze response. Through this meridian we are working with the thyroid, thymus, and adrenal glands.
The sound associated with the Fire element is LAUGHING! Did you know laughing can do wonders for your cardiovascular health? Do you need more laughing in your life? Or do you avoid experiencing other emotions by 'laughing them off'?
In TCM, the Heart is at the center of our ability to be our authentic selves. Self-awareness, connecting with others, having meaningful relationships and living a fulfilling, happy life are the essence of a healthy heart.
Next one... element Earth.
The Earth Element corresponds to the ground, the soil, the dirt. It is in charge of our thoughts, reasoning, and our worries and tendencies to rehash. Earth is about our relationship with the tangible world and lived experiences. Earth energy allows us to digest and assimilate what comes from the material world.
The associated meridians/organs are the Stomach and the Spleen.
The Stomach receives and transforms Earth energy by digesting, not only on a physical level, but also on a psychological level. This meridian plays a role in controlling our appetite, and also in the production of breast milk and the functioning of our reproductive glands/organs (incl. menstruation cycles).
The Spleen plays a pivotal role in distributing nutrients to the whole body. It is also responsible for how we relate to the material world. Excessive worries, insecurities and overthinking can tax the spleen.
Earth people are thoughtful and caring. When they don't get love in return, they can question their entire existence, fall into co-dependent cycles etc...
To keep the Earth Element in balance, you can try a few different things:
Do one thing at a time. When you are eating, reading, working, try doing just one thing and nothing else.
Simple massage techniques to calm the spirit.
Keep a good diet (cooked and warming a best-loved by the spleen).
Avoid excess sweet and sugar.
In TFH Kinesiology, we look at the whole KO and SHEN cycle - and work out whether an imbalance within a particular element might be an "over energy" (=too much!!) or an "under energy" (=too little). In general, we work with the under energized meridians and boost them by using neuro-lymphatic and neuro-vascular reflex points, meridian massage, visualization, colors, sounds, etc... It's good fun! :-)
Let's dive into one of the 5 elements... Metal.
In my last post(s) I shared how energy, emotions, and physical health are closely connected. The Metal element is associated with grief, guilt and regret; the related organs are the lungs and large intestine.
The primary function of the lungs is to disperse and disseminate Qi (life force) throughout the rest of the body. The large intestines are about letting go, both physically and mentally.
Prolonged, unprocessed grief impairs the function of the lungs and large intestines. It consumes the Qi, leading to exhaustion, lack of energy, shortness of breath and respiratory infections.
The Metal element may be associated with boundaries and structure.
To keep Metal balanced, we need structure and routine equalized with an ability to let go and allow ourselves to be supported!
We might need to soften our boundaries to connect with others, be spontaneous and give ourselves the time to follow our passion.
The idea of TFH Kinesiology is to remove imbalances and encourage the flow of energy/emotions to keep moving through their natural cycles...

Last week I started a little intro to “The Law of Five Elements”.
I find it truely fascinating how this wisdom has been around for thousands of years and can still be applied today!
Before I dive into each element individually, I would like to mention the SHEN and the KO cycle:
There are two separate cycles of energy that interact and work together to keep the balance of all things in the universe.
SHEN is the generating, producing nurturing cycle which moves consecutively in a clockwise fashion through the elements, affecting them in their entirety.
For example, Wood is said to be the “mother” of Fire because it feeds it. Fire is the mother of Earth creating it from its ashes. Earth gives up its ores to create Metal. When water condenses on metal at night, we see that Metal produces Water (gasses), and Water nurtures the Wood.
KO is the control cycle in which each element has a controlling influence over the second element from it, in the clockwise cycle. Therefore, Wood is called the “grandmother” of Earth and controls it by penetrating it. Earth controls Water by containing it. Water controls Fire by dowsing it. Fire controls Metal by melting it, and Metal controls Wood by chopping it.
When we start connecting the elements to energies, emotions and aspects of physical health, it becomes really interesting!
Can’t wait to go more into depth of the elements 🧚♀️
Touch for Health Kinesiology is a synthesis of ancient knowledge of the Chinese meridians, the 5 element philosophy and techniques derived from chiropractic, naturopathy, osteopathy, and even counselling. We use muscle testing as a method of biofeedback to identify imbalances in the body’s energy system. Touch reflexes, meridian tracing, acupressure and a variety of mind-body techniques are used for balancing the subtle energies while focusing on meaningful, personal goals.
I would like to take a closer look at the five elements theory with you. Over the next few weeks, I will take you on a little journey. In Chinese Medicine, energy, emotions, and physical health are closely connected. Emotions impact the health of the body and vice versa. We will explore the five elements, five body organs and five key emotions and how they contribute to our overall health.
The five essential elements are Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Each element relates to a particular emotion and a particular organ in the body.
Anger relates to the liver (wood)
Joy relates to the heart (fire)
Worry to the spleen (earth)
Sadness and grief to the lung (metal)
Fear to the kidney (water)
Each of us combines these elements in constant flow. All components need to be balanced to stay healthy!
If you want to explore how to feel healthier and more balanced, don’t hesitate to contact me.

This podclass about electric health did really resonate with me... We are all made up of energy & we certainly have an electro-magnetic field around us. And our heart is electric, and our brain, and our blood has an electric charge, too, etc... In Kinesiology we refer to our “electrics” when working with meridians, chakras etc. The way Eileen McKusick explains health from her perspective is quite amazing! I think it’s worthwhile listening to...

Hello lovely people,
I am making one of my rare appearances on social media ☺️
Trying to find a business name isn't an easy task.
“Language of the Body” has been sitting with me for a little while now, so I printed a few flyers which you might start seeing around Freo.
The body is so full of wisdom and tries to communicate with us in many ways.
A lot of our tension patterns are emotional reactions to a hostile and defensive perception of the world.
It is my passion to help you re-connect with your body, make it feel safe, and unlock its wisdom 🧚♀️
I am available in South Fremantle on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, at the beautiful Birthing Wellness Centre on South Terrace.
Feel free to contact me if my opening hours don't work for you - there’s always a way.
💫 winter solstice 💫
Marking the longest night of the year...
A magical time of energetic reawakening.
A beautiful moment to pause & reflect.
How have these last few months been - and how would you like to create your reality for the next few months?
❤️ THE MAGIC OF TOUCH ❤️
Touch stimulates the production of oxytocin & can be a wonderful remedy when we are feeling stressed, anxious, or depressed 🧚♀️
Come, relax & forget yourself for a little while 💫
Ps: As I am hardly ever on Facebook and Instagram, I totally forgot to update my business days/hours.
I am now available on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays @ Birthing Wellness, 243 South Terrace, South Fremantle.
Bunuru is coming to an end, Djeran & its cooler weather begins... I'd love to introduce to you: the Raindrop Technique.
The change of seasons is an excellent time for this very powerful technique, developed by D. Gary Young in the 1980s.
It combines Aromatherapy (essential oils are applied undiluted to the body), Vita Flex Technique (ancient Tibetan version of reflexology) and Feather Stroking.
There are numerous benefits of the Raindrop Technique. Here are just a few:
- Balance and re-align the Energy Centers of the Body: The combination of techniques brings electrical and structural alignment to the body.
- Re-aligns the Spine in a Non-manipulative Manner: Microbes along the spine contribute to deformities and can be the cause of spinal diseases such as scoliosis. The oils of oregano, marjoram, thyme and basil have anti-viral and/or anti-bacterial properties.
- Help Detox the Body Systems:The oils being high in phenols cleanse cellular receptor sites and enhance the lymphatic system detox of the body.
- Reduces inflammation in the Body:Three known, natural anti-inflammatory oils, wintergreen, thyme and peppermint, are used in this technique...
And the list goes on and on.
Would you like to try something new? Or a combination of different modalities? Check out my menu :-)
What a beautiful community! Thanks for your support Hannah 🙏 Loved the golden scissors 💫
It’s not often I get invited to ‘cut the cord’ on a new Freo enterprise but what better way to celebrate the launch of Birthing Wellness - South Fremantle! Community, inclusion and parenting support from a lovely nurturing team of professionals.
