Business update.

Hi all, just wanted to make a bit of an announcement and go over a few things positive and negative.

Firstly i just want to announce that we have decided not to renew our lease at dyson ct, our rent has gone up and unfortunately were only just covering costs as it is, this increase amongst other cost increases is making it too hard for our business to be viable in its current form.

However we do intend to carry on, ive just signed a lease at national storage in moolap, where we will be trading by appointment only, this saving in rent and wages will make the business financially viable, we will still do repairs and sales, having a small range available to test ride and our full range available online, which we can order and dispatch direct to you or assemble and have you pickup from our new location.

We do intend longterm to open back up in a shopfront somewhere in Geelong, and we ask that over the next few months that you support us and continue to buy from us, the more local support we recieve the more likely we open up with permanent hours in a better location, this is what we want but we need local support to do so.

Next i just wanted to touch on a couple of issues weve faced recently in the business, and go on record in saying that we will not tolerate any threats or abuse towards our staff, we understand there can be some frustrations in regards to some warranty issues and ill be the first to admit our timeframes on getting things done in recent times havent been great (this wont be the case moving forward as ill be running every aspect of the business myself as the owner)
But unfortunately weve had some people threatening and abusing our staff recently and this simply will not be tolerated moving forward, all we ask is to be treated with respect and we will show the same in return

Another issue weve faced is the droves of people buying cheap nasty scooters online, we understand competition in business, but we see so many of these scooters in for repair, and have dissapointed customers when we cant source parts for their scooters theyve purchased online, we implore you to spend a bit more, buy locally, support our small business and youll not only have a more reliable robust scooter, but youll have somewhere to take it if you have issues with it.

Now the more interesting part, appreciate you all reading this and getting this far.

Dates- we will be trading at dyson ct until the end of next week, saturday the first of june will be our last days trade at this location, we will run normal hours until then, unless otherwise stated or posted about on our page, we will take a couple weeks off to transition to our new location and clean and dismantle things at the current location to hand back to the real estate.

Stock- we will be downsizing alot, we aim to keep around 1/3 of the current stock we have on hand and hence need to clear the rest, we will be starting with a sale of 10% off scooters, 5% off bikes, 50% off all accessories and spare parts, until the end of next week, which includes any scooters we need to order.
Anything in stock we will start at 10% and work our way down as necessary, come in and see us for a deal and see if we cant work something out, we have some new stock, some ex display stock and will have some second hand scooters probably next week

Lastly anyone with current repairs in with us, we will be working through those over the next couple of weeks, we intend to get as many sorted as possible and hope to finish them all in time, we will be contacting people with scooters still with us as of next week to ask them to collect them

We also have 4-5 scooters here that have been here over 12 months, we have tried so many times contacting these customers to no avail, we will try again but we simply dont have space to take them with us to our new location, if we havent heard back from these customers as of next week they will be scrapped and parted or sold off as second hand scooters, please if you have a scooter with us thats been here that long get in touch asap

It features tyres the same size as a golf cart so courses shouldnt have any issues with you using it, an esky holder (self explanatory) and capable of doing 36 holes comfortably on a single charge!

Weight capacity of upto 150kg for the big fellas, wireless key locking and alarm for security, and also importantly it will fit a towball bike rack, so no need for a ute or trailer to get you to the course and back!

Also completed today was some repairs on this bexly 9, unfortunately this customer took his scooter to a backyard “scooter mechanic” he found on facebook, this bloke has drilled extra unnecessary holes in the frame of his scooter, couldnt put the guards back on properly and has lost multiple screws and washers whilst putting it back together.

Whilst there may be the odd person out there with basic repair knowledge we always reccomend using a repair person with a physical workshop/store (whether its us or someone else) just because you have somewhere to go if you do have these issues and are likely to get a far superior quality of service.
