We reach our communities across the G21 Geelong Region Alliance region in many ways. In partnership with Public Libraries Victoria the team enjoyed creating this snapshot of our community enjoying reconnecting with George; one of our mobile libraries' well loved team members who supported them during the lockdowns, with our click and collect service. It is now time to as we continue to live and work differently in 2022.

February 14 was Library Lovers Day and how heart warming to see some of our customer's comments at our Waurn Ponds Library. Yes, we have over 400,000 collection items but most importantly we have a great team whom our customers love. My favourite said:

So good to see author events back at our libraries. Last night I enjoyed Michael Burge Media sharing his insights in conversation with John Bartlett at Belmont Library.
The highlight of the evening was a customer wondering in and giving our staff a box of chocolates, just for being there as part of her community. She had one sentence to sum up how she felt. I Love this Library. Geelong Regional Libraries

We are launching our Community Music Program as we welcome everyone back to our libraries.
We are putting the call out for local musicians, music makers, community choirs, ensembles, orchestras, and bands to submit an expression of interest (EOI) to practise, rehearse and/or perform their music at the iconic Geelong Library & Heritage Centre.
We want to encourage and support emerging musicians and community music makers by providing a public space to practise, rehearse and perform, to promote connection and wellbeing of our community, and encompass a diverse range of music genres that reflect our community.
Tell your loved ones, your neighbours and perhaps showcase your own hidden talents! Geelong Regional Libraries Khat Kerr
