So I’m doing zoom learning for the next year!! and I figure that really, I need to keep my hands busy so maybe just maybe I will get this Lino cut finished by the end of the week. I tend to drag my feet when I haven’t got all the design aesthetic sorted out.
To be honest I may actually do a test print of this to get a better feel for the couple of areas I’m not sure of yet.
So stay tuned!!
It’s been fun to carve a male subject as the hair and 5 o’clock shadow are so different.
My entry into the print paloza put on by Sally the Printmaker and Mixed Incs
Very excited to be featured in the Paper :)

A little bit of fun news!! I did a fun interview with the Times local news paper!! Abby Pardew was lovely to chat to and also took some great photos!
Abby also did a write up on combined exhibition of The house Geelong and Hue and Cry Gallery on the next page and exhibition I have 2 pieces in!
Any eagle eyed peeps may have also noticed the crouches leaning against my desk!!! Today I found out that my Footy injury last weekend an actually a fractured Tibias and a small tare of the meniscus. I have a couple of weeks on crouches and have to track down a knee brace too. Ugh, so it seems my short interest (one 1/4 of a game) in contact sport is over…

Yep it’s true, if you’d like to join my email list you’ll receive some some mail if you’d like!!
I have these two Lino prints hanging down it their members exhibition.
Go see it for yourself if you have time! I will also be manning the gallery for a day too!!
Laker is my little side kick, and I have to say it’s nice to have the company.
I was dropping off some art to a gallery in Torquay and we saw this. I think the sign is correct!
Tools down!
It’s just hit 10pm as I write this and I’m done for the day.
I love where this piece has ended up!! The road was the biggest dilemma.. got there in the end. This piece will also be a little darker than my usual piece so I can’t wait to see how it prints up… at some point.
This is the third new piece in an addition to my last collection that will be heading off to .gallery gallery later this year!!
What should I carve next??
Don’t forget if you have a fantastic photo that suits my theme then send me a DM and I may end up carving it!!
If you would like to be kept up to date then sign up for my newsletter - the link is in my Bio :)
The night before my Lino workshops I sharpen all the tools. I really like chatting about tools the good and the bad. Then letting everyone feel the difference.
I am listening to a podcast as I sharpen and getting excited about what idea people will bring to the table tomorrow.
In our 3 hours together we will cover The how to of carving, creating visual interest and tools and supplies and printing by hand and by mechanical press. I have the best little Enjay press I bring along.
Then everyone leaves with two prints of their unique carving.
I do have one spot available for tomorrow if you’d like to join me. Or you can catch me at a future workshop.

Oh it feels so good to be carving today. The door is open the air is still, all I’m missing is a cuppa.
This piece has finally come together, and now I shall sit and carve out the background.
Hands up if you’re a cuppa lover, a butterfly fan, and outdoorsy gal!
This piece will end up being about 2/3 of an A4 size. Can’t wait to see it come to life with a little ink!
See if I can get it finished to take along to my workshop on the weekend .gallery !!
This is a good 2 minute listen.

This really interesting art exhibition and event is happening in a couple of weeks.
So artwork around the subject of grief or created while living in a time of grief.
Sounds like it will be moving I’m really looking forwards to seeing what people have put together. I have a piece from my first solo exhibition.
If you get the chance come along to the opening or pop in when you can.
has a piece in this exhibition too!!
My Lino Print ‘To the pier’ is happily hanging down at right above amazing piece!!
The weather was beautiful on Monday for the drive down there.
I love this piece it is probably the first piece I have carved trying to capture movement. The bouncing hair and the sway of fabric for the sweater. I have pulled all of my sweater, jumpers and coats out as our autumn weather is in full swing here in Geelong.
It’s all happening this term. Holding my Intro to Lino printing workshop at these fun locations!! I have a few tickets left on May 5th jump on to eventbrite or the link in the bio to join us for a fun Sunday arvo.
Then I’m jumping on the road to Art and Healing in Aireys Inlet!! Very excited about this studio space.
Finishing off the term with a trip to the Rare Trade Centre in Ballarat which will be really interesting!
So if you would like to get along to my workshop and you’re located close to one of these venues now is your chance!! Some of the tickets are available via eventbrite and the rest you can contact the venue directly!
Woohoo!!

Yay!! This group produced some really lovely carvings!! Also a special bonus was there were two mother daughter duos, so lovely.
The other bonus was Nikki and Kat did portraits, and very well carved too.
I will share some more of their work later.
I will be running the next workshop at Sequel Gallery in April, let me know if you’d like to come along.
Checking my socials today and I found this gem from
I am so excited to that this artwork ‘A walk in the bush’ found it’s forever home!! I am so grateful to the collector and the Gallery.
This piece is inspired by the colours of the Australian bush in summer and topographic maps from my hiking days. Two things I’d like to spend more time enjoying.
This exhibition runs till the end of March so do your self a favour and go see all four solo exhibitions plus the ton of other amazing artworks on the gallery wall.
Yay first group exhibition of 2024!!

But that’s not all, the group exhibition Whimsically Wild is very impressive you have to stop in and see the winning piece by it is… so impressive!!
And just for fun I carved a cute pup to go in this exhibition too.

I signed up for at queen vic market next weekend, so it’s new and sometimes I cancel things just because “it’s new” I don’t know where parking is or the building or the space etc.. my mind is also on trying to move house so I haven’t made any market stock (resin pieces are so messy).
Anyway I thought if I got some new post cards printed it would help me get excited. So here they are and I love them!! In true adhd style I left my name off one of them lol..but oh well.
So I will still have some resin pieces, so original prints, postcards and greeting cards.. and a few framed pieces too..
so if you are in Melbourne next weekend find the markers section at queen vic market and come and say hi!!
