Two weeks ago today I said my final goodbye. I still havenβt quite adjusted to you not being by my side. I hate waking up knowing youβre not here. The house is empty and silent. The days are long. I donβt go walking everyday like we used to. I miss you everyday. Thereβs a deep pain in my heart & I cry for you. I hope you can hear me my beautiful boy. I miss you dearly Whiskey. ππππ
Itβs been one week today since you crossed over the rainbow bridge. Everyday since then I have cried for you. I miss you so much. You werenβt just a dog. You were a cherished family member who was loved dearly. You were the sunshine in my day. From the moment you sat on my lap when we picked you up from the farm as a puppy, you must have known you were in safe hands. You relaxed in my arms all the way back to Melbourne β a 2hr drive.
You were the most amazing puppy. Cheeky, smart and so much fun. I couldnβt believe we toilet trained you in three days! I remember when you were put in your crate and you cried so we got you and put you in our bedroom. You were happy and went to sleep. We loved you so we let you cuddle with us in our bed. And there you stayed with us every night for the last ten years. Snuggled between us even as you grew into a much bigger dog but we didnβt care. It was your safe spot and there you would wait for us when we went to work or when we went out.
We never regretted not taking holidays without you. You were always the priority so we travelled together everywhere and you loved the travel adventures as much as we did. We had so much fun together.
I am so sorry we couldnβt save you from the cancer that claimed your life but we tried everything we could to keep you healthy. But the moment you looked at me sitting under our Jacaranda tree and said it was βtimeβ, I knew you were ready and I didnβt want you to suffer any pain. Making that decision was the worst decision we ever had to make. You were our soul dog- you were my heart and soul. We were so proud of you. Saying goodbye to you was the hardest goodbye I have ever had to make. I miss you terribly and my heart aches for you. I just want to hug and kiss you my beautiful boy. Thereβs a big hole in our hearts. The house is so empty and bare without you.
You were MAJESTIC! A beautiful gentle giant. A wise gentleman in a fur coat. Thank you Whiskey for everything β For all the happiness and joy you brought into our lives.
We will love you until our final days β until we meet again.ππππmum and dad
After too many grey sky days, itβs nice to feel the sunshine again. Bring on spring weather.
Update on Whiskey.
On the vet specialistβs advice we started chemotherapy. Mainly because heβs so fit & healthy. Yesterday he had his second treatment & so far heβs had no side effects. Chemo on dogs is different to humans. Itβs a much lower dose and usually well tolerated. It wonβt cure him but will help shrink the cancer or stabilise it.
Heβs still enjoying walking everyday & still loving his food. Weβre giving him the best of whatever time he has left. It could be 3 months or more or it could be less. Weβre monitoring him for any changes & if anything changes that looks detrimental, weβll do the right thing by him. We are taking day by day.
Weβre devastated but trying to enjoy and spoil him as much as we can. The tears keep rolling.
Thank you to everyone who has sent messages of support. Theyβre so comforting to read. You really know who your friends really are when youβre facing heart breaking situations. Thanks to everyone who I might not see in person for your messages too. Animal lovers unite,
Much love,
Chrissie & Matt
R.I.P Dad (Jim/Dimitrios)(18.02.1936 - 14.02.2024)
This morning I lost a special person in my life - my dad. My heart is broken. I did as much as I could to care for him. Just short of his 88th birthday which we were going to celebrate this Sunday.
Iβm going to miss talking to him everyday. π
His last words to me - I love you. And I said I love you too dad.
Happy Valentineβs Day. Iβll always remember.
Forever in our hearts. β€οΈπππππππππππ
A new year! I'm feeling a little refreshed after having some down time enjoying the simple things in life. Here's some images from my last shoot late last year
I'm looking forward to picking up my camera again and refocusing. A new website is on the cards this year. Lots to do!
And that's a wrap for 2022! It's been a long and challenging year. Business plans went out the window as family commitments took over. Social media took a back seat as well. Thank you to all my clients for your support. I'm in need of a long rest. Wishing you all a safe and happy xmas and a wonderful New Year! x

One of my favourite images from my shoot with .content. The soft light and beautiful interior ._geelong was the perfect backdrop for our branding shoot.

RIP Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022). An incredible woman and leader. The end of an era. 70 years of service. A lover of working dogs and photography. Thank you maam.
Oh boy. Itβs been ages. Today I picked up my camera for the first time in months. Iβve been too focused on caregiving that Iβve neglected my own interests. It continues to be a challenging time made harder having to travel back and forth to Melbourne.
So today I took the opportunity to focus on nature. I love the smell of blossoms and they bring such joy when I see them. I for one need some rejuvenation to get started again. This is my small step in kickstarting my mojo again.
Relaxing by the sea in Robe, SA. The sun is out. Perfect winterβs day.
Iβm loving these frosty mornings. Itβs the one time of the day I completely switch off and enjoy being in the moment.

I've decided to take a break from my business to care for my elderly father who is currently in hospital after having a bad fall. He's 85 and currently not in a good way. I need the time to organise this next chapter in his life without the added pressure of running a business. It's been very consuming and confronting watching somebody age rapidly over the last few years. Right now some pretty big decisions rest on my shoulders and I need the time to think things through and to make the right decisions. This means I will not be taking any bookings for the next couple of months while he recovers (hopefully). It's mentally exhausting and time consuming so my health is also impacted. I'll be floating about on socials here and there.
Towards the end of a working week I always like to unwind with a nice glass of pinot noir. I don't drink much these days but one or two at the end of the week is satisfying. ββββββββ

Here's a nice glass of red . They do a fabulous lunch. Well worth a visit.
Capturing what you do on an everyday basis is part of your brand story. Telling that story through high quality images shows potential customers what it is like to work with you, what your business is all about. When you work with me, I'll ensure we capture all those little details of your business and more.
They're back! Brand sessions at the Beach House Geelong. It's been a long time between sessions. Can't wait to get back to photographing in this beautiful location. ββββββββ

Capturing what you do as a small business owner is one part of telling your business story. My lovely client Kylie Sargent is an interior designer and building consultant. During her branding shoot we captured little elements of what she does as an interior designer like selecting tiles. I'm all about nutting out the little details in a branding session. Can't wait to share more of these images... I've fallen way behind on socials.
The glory of gumtrees. I think they're magnificent. I love the smell of fresh gum leaves. When I lived in London for 3 years I remember one of the things that reminded me of home was the gumtrees. Forever etched in my childhood memories.
Happy IWD. This trailblazing woman -BLONDIE paved the way for many young women in the music industry in the 70's. She was a pioneer in the punk scene and challenged the good girl image. She stood firm in the male dominated industry and stayed true to herself. ββββββββ
