This may seem like a silly question but it’s one I get asked all the time.

No, we do not shave off your eyebrows.
We will generally modify the shape of your natural eyebrow hair though. This way we can give you the best new brow design tailored to your bone structure., face shape and desired brow style.
Brow mapping is done prior to tattooing and then any hairs outside of this new shape will be removed. Often it is only the hair that grows too low and under your brow bone, or to shape the tail of your new brows to give you maximum lift and arch.

Keeping these brows as natural as we can while still filling in the gaps and providing some more structure for fullness.

Immediately after tattooing the colour appears stronger and slightly warmer so these brows will settle to a softer colour that will compliment her natural hair colour and skin, within the next four weeks.

Can you choose your own colour??

Yes, you may guide your cosmetic tattooist towards a preferred colour tone. However the final colour selection should always be made by the artist, for several different reasons.
▪️Skin colour - Do you know if your undertone or your overtone is the dominant feature of your skin?
▪️Age - A colour that we would be happy with in our 20’s is probably not the same colour we would be happy with in our 50’s. Age appropriate factors should always be considered.
▪️Skin type - Your skin type determines how much your artist should saturate your skin.
Colour choice can be determined by many other factors as well. Hair, eye colour & ethnicity just to name a few.
The best practice is to proceed with a cautionary colour at the initial tattoo session and be able to build on this at the perfecting appointment.

This is the perfect question for me to start with. Is semi-permanent makeup really semi permanent?
Well, the answer is that it's neither semi permanent or permanent. We refer to it as cosmetic as it is never the same as the day it gets implanted into the skin and it never fully disappears. Every skin responds differently, but what we do know for sure is that there will always be something left in the skin, even if it can't be seen with the naked eye.

Cosmetic tattoo is ideally implanted into the upper layer of the skin's dermis. It is actually designed to fade out over time. However, there are many factors that either speed up, slow down or even stop this process.

Skin type - some people's skin will retain more pigment than others. Oily skin for example will absorb or dilute the colour particles faster, whereas a dry skin type will hold the pigment for longer.

Sun - Sun lovers will notice that not only will the pigment fade faster but it can actually change colour as well.

Pigment brands - All pigments have a fade point. Some will change colour and fade drastically within a year. Some will stay strong in colour but cool down in tone and then others may fade evenly and truer to the implanted colour. Your artist should know their pigments and be able to match colour with skin undertones to get the perfect shade for you.

Skin products - what skincare you are using can also determine the longevity of your tattoo. Some vitamin A products or excessive peels can fade your tattoo faster.

Artist - All artists are not created equally. Some artists will implant too deeply, causing uneven colour distribution and potential scarring. They can over saturate the tattoo, which won't fade out over time and be too strong in colour, making it very hard to adjust without removal.
Others may implant superficially leaving a fine layer that will fade fast. They may choose the wrong technique for your skin type or may only even offer one tattooing technique.

The knowledge & experience of your artist is essential. They will guide you towards the best technique and pigment colour that will suit you for the long haul.
Top ups or colour boost sessions are required for ALL cosmetic tattoo procedures to keep your colour looking fresh and natural.
Experience in creating age appropriate cosmetic tattoo's that are natural looking will stand the test of time.
