Imagine it’s 2022 and your Prime Minister tries to shame someone for “pretending to be someone they’re not” after choosing to be healthier and lose some excess body fat (which significantly increases the risk of heart attacks, strokes, high blood pressure, cancer, diabetes, osteoarthritis, fatty liver, and depression, just to name a few) after he himself did the exact same thing not all that long ago.

FYI we want to take movements through the greatest range of motion we can safely manage in order to maximise tension across as many fibres as possible - the greater the stretch, the harder a muscle has to contract to overcome the resistance
Mechanical tension is the primary stimulus of the physiological adaptations that we seek from lifting, therefore each set must be taken within 5 reps from failure to achieve an adequate dose of this stimulus (yes, it’s a good idea to first know what true failure is in order to use it as a waypoint). I see too many people stopping their set just because they hit a certain number of reps and in turn they’re just accruing fatigue while robbing themselves of stimulative reps.
