Our partnership with the Shell Club started last season when they came on board as a bronze sponsor and culminated in them hosting our presentation night. The draw for this season has been released. Round 1 we take on Murgheboluc in a one day game across all grades. Numbers so far at pre season training have been excellent and we can’t wait for the season to kick off. 44 days to go 🔴🔵🔴🔵

Evening Panther family hope everyone is having a good week. Just wanted to give you a quick update on season 2024/25. The GCA have revised the playing conditions for this year.
The 1sts will stay with the tactical 2 day format with a few changes with no points now awarded for draws. The 2nds will revert to the traditional 2 day format with a maximum of 80 overs a day.
The 3rds and 4ths will now be a one day competition with 45 overs each per side.
Pre season training is now in full swing and it’s definitely not too late to get involved.

Any members or supporters in the vicinity of Bunnings North Geelong tomorrow come say hi and grab a snag as the club are running the bbq for the day!! We will be there from 8.30 tomorrow morning till 4.30pm hope to see a few of you there!!

Good evening Panthers!!! Come celebrate AFL grand final day up at the clubrooms this year. We will have a bbq lunch and finger food provided as well as first goal and norm smith medal sweeps. We will also have a big screen to watch all the action. Great opportunity to get together and cheer on your team before the season starts the week after!!

🔴🔵PANTHERS LOTTO🔴🔵

The cricket club has been running the Panthers Lotto for a number of years and we would like to offer members and supporters the opportunity to get involved.

For those who were unaware of what we have been running, see below for conditions regarding the Panthers Lotto.

1. The Lotto which corresponds to this competition is the Saturday lotto, drawn each week at about 8:30-9:00pm.
2. Each participant has a number between 1-45.
3. Prizes are distributed based only on the 2 x supplementary numbers drawn.
4. 1st supplementary number drawn receives a $150 prize, and the 2nd supplementary number drawn receives a $50 prize.
5. These prizes are given out 52 times a year based on a weekly draw.

Cost of this is $10 a week per number, which can be a recurring payment to the club in whatever payment cycle you prefer.

We currently have 11 numbers available to purchase, with 34 numbers having already been purchased. If anyone is interested in getting involved please comment on this post. The available numbers are 1, 20, 22, 27, 31, 33, 35, 36, 39, 40, 44.

Hope everyone is enjoying their winter and with pre season starting on Sunday morning we can’t wait to see everyone.

Memberships for 2024/25 are now open. The club has some considerable expenses at the start of the season so if we can start to get those memberships in it would be greatly appreciated. The same process as last year you will need to register through play hq before the start of the season.

It is with great sadness Bell Post Hill Cricket Club acknowledges the passing of Billy Muir.
Billy was a Life Member who played 289 games made 3464 runs and took 481 wickets which places him third in our all time wicket takers. He was a larger than life character and will by missed by everyone who knew him. To Michelle, Ben, Maddie, Kristie & his extended family we pass on our deepest condolences at this sad time.

Any of the Panther Family looking for a way to help the club or stay in touch with the current group of players?

The club has developed the attached "Player Sponsorship Package". You can sponsor a player you know, or simply contact the club if you don't know any of the current players and we'll put you in touch with a player looking for a sponsor.

We ran a similar version last season with great success, but to appeal to more prospective sponsors, we've added an option to alter the package and reduce the cost.

The club has a lot of expenses at the start of a new season and with cost of living a major struggle, helping a player cover their membership and getting the club money early on is a great way to stay connected and help the club we love.

Exciting news out of Myers Reserve tonight with the signing of Will Iles from Coventry and North Warwickshire Cricket Club. Will is a 22yr old top order batsmen who is having a really good season in England. He has a top score of 89 this year and he can’t wait to come over and play for the mighty Panthers.
