From Mick to all of our friends, family and loyal customers,

After 23 wonderful years, I have made the difficult decision to move on from Mexicali Mama. This restaurant has been like a second home for myself and my family for a long time. From the early days of my six young children coming in after school to have dinner and get a chance to see their dad in the evening, to giving each of them their first experiences in a workplace, and now watching as they bring their own children in for dinner, I have always been proud of what we’ve done here at Mexicali Mama, and what’s it meant to my entire family.

To my staff, past and present, thank you for all your hard work and your friendship over the years. Mexicali Mama has always been a tight knit family, and we’ve had some wonderful times together. To have made some lifelong friends along the way has been the cherry on top of a delicious Kahlua Sundae.

To our loyal customers and friends, thank you for dining with us and enjoying our food. It’s been a tremendous joy to see so many people leave our restaurant with full bellies and a smile on their faces - whether you’ve just devoured some nachos, fajitas, or our famous chile con queso - I hope you’ve loved it too.

To my beautiful wife Regina, thank you for supporting me on this adventure. Nothing would have been possible without you by my side. I promise to never come home smelling like cheese, onion and garlic again! 😘

Your favourite Mexican isn’t going anywhere - from May 27th, Mama will be in the safe and very capable hands of its new owners. We hope you continue to enjoy their food for many years to come!
