It’s not everyday that we get the privilege of making the cake for such a special Birthday. We hope that Margaret got to enjoy some chocolate fudge cake on her 100th Birthday.

The retail window is open Tuesday to Saturday and we’ve had the privilege of making lots of beautiful celebration cakes. Things are evolving constantly and we can’t wait to see what the coming year brings!
2024 is upon us! If you’re planning a celebration, or simply feel the urge to eat cake pop past. Our cabinet is fully stocked and orders are open. We are loving summer and have incorporated a couple of new flavour combos that embrace the season. Introducing ‘coco passion’ with a coconut friand base, coconut mousse and passionfruit curd.
And the ‘splice’ with a coconut friand base, pineapple mousse and lime curd.

Introducing Cakesmith’s Black Forest mousse cake.
We’ve had lots of requests for Black Forest cakes so thought we’d incorporate the well loved flavours into a mousse cake (also the flavours in our Christmas Yule log). With chocolate base, morello cherry cremeux and kirsch mousse all encased in a dark chocolate mousse and dark chocolate glaze.

Cakesmith will be closed this Thursday the 9th of November as we pay tribute to Bens mum Lyn.
Only a few weeks into our Cakesmith journey we experienced the sudden loss of Lyn. We’ve been keeping busy amidst the grief however this Thursday the day is hers. We will spend it with family and friends celebrating a life well lived. Lyn was a women who loved with all of her being, always had our backs and was without doubt our number one supporter. Lyn was kind, witty and adventurous. A women who we are proud to have called Mum and who our kids lovingly referred to as ‘Olwa’.
Thanks for your understanding, we’ll return to regular hours from Friday.
