You don’t hear from me Kat (the owner) very often on a personal level but I couldn’t let this day pass without spreading some awareness about this very important topic!

On Thursday 12th of September it is we will be raising funds in store by donating 20% of cafe sales to the foundation. You can also donate via the link below.

I recently suffered the most tremendous loss imaginable by losing my dad to su***de. Never did I ever think this was on his mind! But in hindsight looking back I now see the signs that we all missed! I am sharing my story here today in the hopes that it will bring awareness and more people will be able to spot the signs that your loved one is not ok.
The signs that we missed! Dad stopped doing the things that normally filled his day. He stopped walking around the block, he stopped watering his beloved plants, he stopped his hobbies which kept him busy. I saw him one month before we lost him (I live 6 hours away from him) and I knew deep down something was wrong, he had lost his spark, he was withdrawn, didn’t interact and was just not himself. If only I acted on my gutt instinct, if only I asked him R U OK?

Don’t let your loved one slip through your fingers! Reach out! Trust your gut when it tells you something is wrong and act on it!
