June 14, 2024, Gloria Jean Kvetko of Long Grove, Illinois, passed away, leaving behind a profound legacy that began with a dream and a beauty shop in Wheeling, Illinois. In the mid-1970s, Gloria founded Gloria’s Studio One, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to excellence.

In 1979, Gloria took her passion for bringing people together to new heights with the opening of Gloria Jean’s Coffee Bean in Long Grove, Illinois. Her unique vision for exceptional coffee and a warm, welcoming atmosphere quickly turned her shop into a beloved destination for coffee aficionados everywhere.

By the 1980s, Gloria Jean’s had become a staple in every major retail shopping centre, thanks to Gloria's relentless pursuit of quality and innovation. Her decision to franchise her concept catapulted Gloria Jean’s Coffee into a nationwide phenomenon, solidifying its place as a household name synonymous with exceptional coffee experiences.

As we celebrate 45 years of Gloria Jean's, we honour the remarkable journey of our founder, whose spirit continues to inspire us all. Gloria’s legacy lives on through every cup of coffee enjoyed in our cafes and every smile shared among friends and family. Her passion for excellence and her unwavering commitment to creating moments of joy through coffee will forever be ingrained in the fabric of Gloria Jean’s.

Today, we raise our cups in tribute to Gloria Jean Kvetko, a visionary leader, a beloved mentor, and the heart and soul of our beloved coffee community. Her legacy will continue to guide us as we toast to 45 years of cherished memories and look forward to many more to come.
