In the wake of loss and despair with too many precious souls taken as a result of yesterdays tragic loss it would be remiss of us not to acknowledge this.. so the team from went on another adventure and spent the morning gathering items of clothing and toys and dropping them off at the amazing The Sanctuary womens, pet and children refuge followed by a visit past Burleigh Beach to hand out iced cold bottles of sparkling mineral water to brighten peoples day. One Year On
It is one year since Commissioner Hayne handed down his final Report into Misconduct into the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.
The Government has recently released exposure draft legislation for public comment which relates to Royal Commission measures to be introduced into Parliament by mid-2020.
Commissioner Hayne stated in his report in relation to Conduct that:
“the culture of an entity can be described as ‘the shared values and norms that shape behaviours and mindsets’ within the entity. It is ‘what people do when no one is watching’.
Not only in financial services, but across all industries and companies irrespective of size, change can be the catalyst for good culture and ultimately culture drives good behaviour and motivates employees to deliver outstanding service to advisers and in turn their clients.

Give me a home among the gum trees…

The team at 3YS Owls is deeply saddened by the loss of lives, wildlife and our beautiful countryside as a result of the ongoing bushfire crisis. With over 6 weeks of summer to go and no end in sight, the true extent of the damage is yet to be felt. With the team already making personal donations to our amazing firefighters and volunteering in the community to support our injured animals we have been struggling to work out what else we could do to give back during this desperate time of need.

With feeling like any contribution would seem insignificant compared to some of the amazing donations that have already been made we put our minds to work and have decided to make a contribution to our wildlife and nature restoration and have adopted two injured koalas from the Lake Innes Nature Reserve fire (meet Paul and Anwen) and eight trees from the Koala Hospital Port Macquarie. If the significant community efforts of Celeste Barber’s Facebook fundraiser are anything to go by, we have no doubt that the true Australian spirit will shine through and regrow much needed habitat for the wildlife to one day return to their homes.
