His is one of our most anticipated releases every year. The wines have landed and are in terrific shape for drinking already.

Beaujolais isn’t just about banana and grape lolly flavoured Beaujolais-Nouveau. It’s home to some of the most wonderful, complex & savoury light to medium bodied wines underscored by fine lines of acid/tannin. The reds are made predominantly from Gamay and while Beaujolais is popular for its cheap, quick drinking light reds, the premium wines from the region are absolute show stoppers.

We are very pleased to be able to host our good friend and inspirational speaker, Tom Shobbrook at Flor Wine & Grocer this Saturday from 12 - 2pm. Tom will be pouring his latest release and talking about what natural wine is and a bit about his story and his relationship with wine.

Tom is one of the most influential Australian producers of our time and agent of real change and dynamics in our industry. After several years at the helm of Riecine in Chianti, Tom returned to Australia and formed a band of collaborators, self dubbed as Natural Selection Theory and began the controversial natural wine movement in Australia.

After more than a decade working in fine wine retail and the world’s best restaurants, Louis Schofield created Worlds Apart Wines in 2017 with a simple goal: to make wine thoughtfully that was also delicious.

Sourcing sustainably grown grapes from significant sites in Eden Valley, McLaren Vale and their own backyard in the Adelaide Hills, Louis and Hannah are delivering on a promise to make beautiful wine that is eminently drinkable and authentic.

Louis draws on his training under winemaker Taras Ochota, and makes wines inspired by cult Australian and European producers, great Burgundies and peers and friends in the Adelaide Hills and surrounds.

Scott is one of the world’s greatest experts on Spanish wine and he is in-store for a special tasting of a range of wines near and dear to us and to Scott: the remarkable wines made from the Palomino grape grown in the chalky soils of El Marco de Jerez in Andalucia in the south of Spain.

Join us on Saturday for what will be one of the most unusual and intriguing tastings, hosted by one of the most articulate & passionate orators on the wines of Jerez. We will have snacks on the table and the lads from will be shucking live oysters through the course of the tasting.

After a cooler vintage and longer growing season, the latest release from has left us with a more concentrated fruit line, slightly higher acids and soft tannins, while still showing the same phenolic ripeness and crunch that the Huon & Derwent Valley has to offer.

All the fruit is biodynamically farmed by the Lubiana family and is very drinkable in its youth. In-store now.
