said desperately & fearfully to my mum at my sickest.
CUE: body ‘zaps’, dizziness, a weird spinning feeling, ‘dropping’ through the bed when trying to fall asleep, heat sensitivity, ringing ears, brain fog, poor eye sight, sensory sensitivity, heart palpitations, not being able to get words out, a sensation of pure panic in my body, ‘ants’ crawling over my skin, pins & needles in my arms & legs, & throw in an impending feeling of fear & terror… What a farking delight!! Let me tell you - I have NO idea how I was functioning while working a fulltime corporate job & ‘looking’ like everything was a-ok.
To be honest only my mum & sister really knew how bad I was. I was terrified I was sick, really sick, as I was doing so much work trying to shift this anxiety & just couldn’t change how my body was feeling. My GP at the time just kept saying ‘we’re still learning about the after effects of c***d’ & apart from running bloods & offering medication & a referral to a psychologist… that was about it. So where to next??? Well to be honest… Patience AND being my own client.
The sweet spot started for me when I really stopped & took control of what I needed to do to start coming back to SAFETY in my body. I formed a ‘magic formula’ of stillness & safety that my body started to marinade in & I lingered & lingered & lingered in that state…. Slowly building my tolerance.
Witnessing what worked & how my body reacted, I could see what ‘triggers’ interrupted my flow (insert caffeine, unstable blood sugar, the wrong people in my world, my capacity to say ‘no’) & I had to go slowly slowly.
My system & my body needed to TRUST we were safe. And that took TIME. But now I spend 95% of my time regulate & feeling amazing!! Does my body still try to get my attention to keep me ‘safe’ when she thinks I’m not (insert some small symptoms - increased HR??) well yes, because life right? But does my system now regulate within a small window … YES.
We’re never free from a body giving us signals because they’re meant to alert us & symptoms are clues something is up… but when we listen … life feels different & I promise if you’re ‘in it’ right now… it can get better!! c x

Said to my mum as I was sitting in a chair getting reflexology of all things! My nervous system was so disregulated after being sick, that something I used to LOVE & made me so totally relaxed was now making me feel panicked & wanting to escape! Picture a nice low lite space, beautiful relaxing music, mum who I easily co regulate with & some awesome reflexology… heaven right? Ahhhhh NOPE.. anything BUT for my nervous system at that time.
You see as soon as I had to sit still & the lights went dim, my nervous system freaked out. Dizzy, an ‘off feeling’ & heart palpitations were my main symptoms. My mum looked over & smiled asking ‘are you relaxed’ 🤪 I whispered ‘I can’t get my heart rate down I think I’ll have to leave’. She kind of gave me a weird look, as she knew to well how this used to help me, & then I said I’ll leave it 5mins. I sat there for the next 30mins self talking that I was in fact ok, while feeling dread, doing ALL the things to calm myself as I didn’t want to get in the habit of ‘leaving’ a space every time I felt ‘off’ but honestly it was torture. It had become my new ‘normal’ every moment of every day. So what did I do to help regulate in that space???
• EFT (which is just as powerful imaging the spots you’re tapping on) reminding my body I was SAFE
• used my fidget ring up & down my fingers
• sipped on my cold water (being hot made my symptoms worse)
• tapped on my thighs which was a weird comforting way I used to be connected to my body
• oriented: I looked around the room slowly
• ear acupressure
And guess what… I can now go SUCCESSFULLY!! Calm, relaxed & with NO signs of a disregulated nervous system. Now I know for some you may think ‘who cares love’ 🤪🤪🤪 but you know what… throw someone into the depths of despair with full blown chronic anxiety & then regulate to be back doing everyday things with ease & let me tell you… THAT’S TO BE CELEBRATED!!!
So for any of you struggling right now with anxiety, strange body symptoms that don’t make sense or feeling frightened that you won’t feel YOU again, hang in there… you got this! c x
NEVER give up. Anxiety can be a beast. Tune in. Learn what your system needs. Put tools into practice to come into regulation. Be patient. Do PARTS work. Learn Somatic tools. 12 + mths of debilitating anxiety, my nervous system totally fried in constant flight/fright… & what felt like THE slowest journey back to health I’ve experienced. One of my favourite things when working with clients is to find the stored emotion causes a physical pain, discomfort or limiting belief & diffuse it from the body. Track it to the exact age it was felt, was it towards self, others or a situation. Is it being held in a meridian, which is associated with an organ, is that meridian over energised or under energised. Is it attached to a past life, an issue or pattern you’ve repeated on your timeline. Is this causes a chakra to be blocked or your aura not fully sealed, where are you leaking your energy. Sooooo much can be looked out around ONE emotion in your body. I always tell my students it is like the body & subconscious gives us tiny threads that weave a tapestry of information. One of my greatest privileges is being able to view it. It’s truly MAGIC ✨ in our hands. c x

the metaphysical meaning for 3 of the most common symptoms my clients present with might just blow your mind… have a little read & see if anything resonates:

Well firstly it’s INCREDIBLE as we communicate with your body via muscle testing - this is how YOUR body lets us know where there is imbalance: spiritually, energetically, emotionally, chemically, structurally… we can find out so so much! It’s based around ancient Chinese principles - we work a lot on meridians & moving energy, when one point is low another will be high & it’s in the balance of the body in homeostasis that true health can be felt.
Stored emotions & traumas - We can diffuse & infuse emotions which is just amazing, we can track miasms (what have you bought with you energetically generation after generation), what limiting beliefs are holding you back, how is the health of your aura, do you have energetic ‘leaks’… what about your supplements, food, etc, does your body need to be balanced around the absorption of these or to utilise them better and sooooooo much more! Asked in desperation at my lowest of lows. The answer was pretty bleak if I’m honest. My bloods were fine, it was medication & off to a psychologist as the only option to start functioning again after months of horrible anxiety & panic attacks as I’ve shared before.
So that’s when I knew I just had to be my own patient. I also made some big life changes & put EVERY single thing I had studied into practice. I knew I had to do the work as no one was going to do it for me. So diligently every single day I crafted a routine of nervous system work, somatic practices & kinesiology and fused it all together. Patience, persistence & determination was key, sometimes 2 steps forward, 3 steps back, tears, fears & everything else you could imagine.
Day by day, things started to change. My nervous system started to regulate. Lights & sounds at the supermarket & shopping centres weren’t triggering (most days I couldn’t walk through these environments as I would feel like I was on a rocking boat), my intense heart rate started to come down (changing my clothes would see it spike to 135BPM & I ended up bruising my wrist from always checking it & being so hyper focused lol), the ‘dropping through bed’ feeling each night wasn’t there, turning my head & moving my eyes didn’t cause dizziness..let me tell you, the body symptoms were wild & scary!!
I lost count of the number of times someone would say ‘just get angry with it’ or ‘if you fall over you fall over I’ll pick you up’. It is as intense. BUT I did the work. I stayed the course. Even when some days I would cry to my mum telling her I just want to feel better & have the old Corinna back.
Little by little, I changed. My body become relaxed, my nervous system regulated, my window of tolerance expanded. I was back to the woman I was pre covid. And FARK it feels good. Like really good. Honestly I was at the end of my tether. And I had to dig in. It can be done I promise. So if you’re feeling like there is no ‘out’ of these body symptoms & anxious feelings… please know you can make a difference to your body. Learn the tools, and put them into practice. Slowly slowly. you got this! c x
Said sternly by the GP on the 4th visit back to her after trying to find answers to why I was still struggling after covid!
INSERT: Heart palpitations (just getting dressed would see my HR at 135bpm), dizzy, vision issues, sensitive to lights & sounds, lethargic, extreme anxiety & panics attack which I’d never suffered before.
It actually stopped me in my tracks as she snarled at me. I’m not anti medication, but she knew the health related anxiety I had would see it extremely unlikely I would ever go fill that script. We’d discussed this many times before. Credit to her she had run ‘the tests’ & nothing was out of order. So that was it. Her answer to my questions, tears, frustrations & hopelessness… ‘it’s medication & a psychologist THATS IT!’
I left vowing never to go back. And I vowed I’d always listen to my own body to heal. I decided there & then to do ALL the things & use myself as my own ‘Guinea Pig’. I couldn’t take myself for any healing work as I was too disregulated to even keep myself under control to get Accupuncture, a massage etc.
QUE: Kinesiology ✔️ EFT✔️Meditation ✔️ good water ✔️ somatic tools ✔️ REST ✔️ time with loved ones✔️more joy✔️grounding ✔️ weighted blanket ✔️ podcasts ✔️ audio books ✔️mapping my nervous system ✔️ boundaries
And slowly slowly slowly… I came back into regulation. I was able to SHOW my body I was safe & it didn’t need to be on high alert all the time. Were there set backs… YES. Does my body still react & give me messages when I’m at my capacity.. YES. Do I still manage some anxiety… YES (life right?). But let me tell you… I know that this formula above WORKS.
No blood test or pill could tell me what was wrong or what I needed to feel better. I learnt to LISTEN TO MY BODY. & be gentle with it. Nurture, nourish & tune in & lean in. Really tune in. And really lean all the way in.
And that’s why I’m so passionate about helping others. I know what it feels like to be told ‘your bloods are fine, there’s nothing wrong with your heart rate halter test, you just need some anti anxiety meds’ and know wholeheartedly your body & mind are not ok. I was talking to a beautiful student yesterday about how full my cup is from teaching & she asked what else I’ve been doing outside of the classroom to fill other parts of my cup. And it got me thinking. Not a lot to be really honest. Teaching has sparked so much inside of me, BUT my week revolves around lots of it now 🎉🤍🙏🏻 (which I LOVE).
So after a full day in the classroom yesterday I drove home thinking about what puts me in absolute flow state…. So I booked my pottery wheel to get back into making shapes & getting my hands dirty & I’ll head back to my favourite deep peach meditation/Kirtan class.
So often I see clients racing out to do it ALL and putting extra pressure on themselves, which is so not necessary. One or two things JUST FOR YOU, to marinade in the ‘glimmers’ is perfect for the nervous system.

If it’s a rough day… just let it be what it is. Try to do a few nice things for yourself, regulate your nervous system, change your scenery, get some fresh air, have some guilt free rest, co regulate with someone who makes you feel safe.
And remember that within the next hour you may feel so different, that it’s ok to pause & take time for you, that all feelings are warranted & not to be pushed down, sit with them, then let them pass & witness without judgment as even a small change to your nervous system is a massive win. c x
💭One of the things I just love about KINESIOLOGY is having the ability to help your nervous system come in to a more regulated state.
It’s a funny thing to try & explain… but in a balance your body tells me exactly how it’s feeling: physically + spiritually + energetically.
Our body stores so much from our past experiences - good & bad & lots of emotions get ‘stuck’ in our body causing all sorts of physical symptoms which we sometimes can’t put our finger on. When we start to muscle test, your body sends subtle signals which respond with positive or negative feedback. Anything that your subconscious wants to bring up is also ‘felt’ by this incredible muscle testing & we then ‘balance’ it.
These many corrections can come in the form of NLP, chakra balance, reiki, essential oil support, food intolerances, acupressure, massage, meridian work, affirmations, drawing & free movement, specific stretches, even colour therapy.
It’s seriously such an incredible modality. & the best part is, we can diffuse any negative emotions & replace them with beautiful positive ones. It may take a few days for the balance to integrate, sometimes you’ll leave bouncing off the walls, & other times you’ll be more calm & relaxed & in need of some turning inwards to let the work settle.
All in all, it’s like a super big warm hug for your whole being, you simply lay back & your body & I do the work.

1. DISCHARGE the energy in your body to regulate your nervous system. Shadow box, flick your hands & feet as if you’re releasing that panic energy, tense & shake your muscles from your thighs to your biceps. Discharging this energy reminds your body you do not have to ‘fight, flee’ you are HERE in this moment SAFE.
2. cup one hand at the base of your skull, cup on hand over your forehead & sway your body back & forth. This brings the blood flow back to the prefrontal cortex (a big region in the front of the brain). It can be called the control center of our brains because it helps to control our thoughts & actions. The main job of the prefrontal cortex is to control our emotional responses to stress. We’re usually not in our rational mind in the mindset of panic or anxiety.
3. Place one hand on your chest & one hand on your tummy (keep swaying) & count your breath in, then count your breath out. Firstly try to equal out your breath: ie. in for 4 out for 4. Then extend the exhalation as you gain control of your breathing.
Remember a small change is such a positive. Regulate each day so your body knows how to feel SAFE. Then in the times you need it, your body AND nervous system remembers & it will bring you into regulation much faster. sending love. c x
My greatest gift is teaching my gorgeous clients to map their nervous system & share tools they can use to come into regulation. I hear so often how frustrating it can be dealing with anxiety & panic but let me tell you… YOU CAN FEEL BETTER. We just need to SHOW your body you are safe & allow you to come into a regulated state more often, and stay there longer.
>> these are some of my favourite tips..
1. DISCHARGE the energy in your body to regulate your nervous system. Shadow box, flick your hands & feet as if you’re releasing that panic energy, tense & shake your muscles from your thighs to your biceps. Discharging this energy reminds your body you do not have to ‘fight, flee’ you are HERE in this moment SAFE.
2. THE HOLD.. cup one hand at the base of your skull, cup on hand over your forehead & sway your body back & forth. This brings the blood flow back to the prefrontal cortex (a big region in the front of the brain). It can be called the control center of our brain because it helps to control our thoughts & actions. The main job of the prefrontal cortex is to control our emotional responses to stress. We’re usually not in our rational mind in the mindset of panic or anxiety.
3. CONNECT… Place one hand on your chest & one hand on your tummy (keep swaying) & count your breath in, then count your breath out. Firstly try to equal your breath: ie. in for 4 out for 4. Then extend the exhalation as you gain control of your breathing.
Give yourself time to come into regulation. Body up is where we are at. SHOWING our body we are safe. Remember even a small change is such a positive.
Practice some of the somatic tools that make you feel good (remember some will work better for YOU). Do them each day so your body knows how to feel SAFE & you start to build resilience in your nervous system. Then in the times you need it, your body AND nervous system remembers & it will bring you into regulation much faster.
