What an extraordinary day for our College community as we came together to celebrate Assisi Day! Here’s a look back at the highlights:
🎯 Kahoot & Trivia Fun: We kicked off with an exciting session of Kahoot and trivia, full of competitive spirit and Assisi pride.
🙏 Liturgy: A beautiful liturgy brought us together in reflection and unity.
🏆 Spirit of Assisi Awards: We honoured the remarkable achievements of students from Years 2 to 12, celebrating their dedication and spirit.
🎨 Family Team Activities: Enthusiastic war cries and refreshing ice blocks brought our family teams closer in spirited fun.

Elevate Education hosted an empowering workshop for our Year 12 students today, sharing invaluable study skills to conquer their final exams! The sessions were jam-packed with practical advice on time management strategies, including crafting effective study schedules and the power of study groups. Our Year 12s also learned proven strategies to beat procrastination, prepare effectively and ensure peak performance in the exam room. 🎉 Year 2 and Year 3 Celebrate R U OK? Day! 🎉
Our school community came together in a vibrant display of creativity and sportsmanship, all while supporting the important message of R U OK? Day. 💛
Our Year 2 pupils dazzled in their brightest, spottiest, and dottiest outfits, embracing the spirit of “The Dot” by Peter Reynolds. Meanwhile, our Year 3 pupils had a blast at the Family Team Potato Olympics, showcasing their athletic skills in fun and exciting potato-themed events.
Both events were filled with colour, fun, and endless creativity, reminding us all to check in with each other and spread kindness. Here’s to many more fun-filled events in the future! 🥳

🌟 We are thrilled to announce that our Senior Years team placed FIRST at the STEM MAD Showcase! 🌟
Congratulations to Joshua Golato, Jamili Maatouk, Daniel Golato, and Ella Chadwick for their outstanding achievement. They will now represent us at the Nationals! 🚀
Our students showcased their incredible skills at the BCE STEM MAD Showcase on Monday, 9 September, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Out of nearly one hundred student teams from over fifty schools, our students shone brightly. We had three teams representing us: two from Junior Years and one from Senior Years. They all performed exceptionally well, and we couldn’t be prouder of their efforts.
To reach this stage, our students had to go through a series of in-house competitions, demonstrating their dedication and hard work. A special thank you to our amazing teachers, Niels Fonssbach and Nick Wild, for their guidance and support throughout this journey.
Best of luck to our winning team as they prepare for the STEM MAD National Student Showcase on Tuesday, 19 November. 💫

🎉 Our 20th anniversary celebration at Assisi Catholic College was truly unforgettable. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us! Special thanks to the incredible Year 12 band, Matador, and the Flanders Band for their amazing performances that set the tone for a memorable night.

EY/JY Assisi Idol Semi-Finals
Today students from EY/JY performed for the Semi-Final round of Assisi Idol. Our Year 6 students led our Semi-Finals. There was so much talent from the auditions that today's semi-final was tough. Singing, Dancing, DJ'ing, drumming and Piano.
Friday's Grand Final on Assisi Day will be another showcase of the amazing talent here at Assisi Catholic College.

✨ Our Talented Young Speakers Shine ✨
On Monday evening, a group of our Year 4, 5, and 6 students proudly represented Assisi at the AB Paterson Public Speaking Competition. Each year, over 1,000 students from schools across the Gold Coast step up to compete, and this year was no different for our incredible participants.
Public speaking can be a nerve-wracking experience, but practice builds confidence and resilience in tackling these challenges.
A special congratulations to Scarlett, who made it to the finals! While she didn’t bring home the trophy this time, we are incredibly proud of her efforts and all our students who took part.

The P-2 Mini Sports Carnival was a huge success! The energy was infectious with everyone in their team shirts and hats. Families came together for a day filled with fun, games, and unforgettable memories. 🏅

Yesterday, BCE hosted the Year 12 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Graduation Liturgy, officiated by Bishop Tim Norton at St Stephen’s Cathedral in Brisbane.
It was a beautiful day and a truly special celebration of our First Nations graduating students.
Assisi Catholic College was immensely proud to have our students representing us, alongside our Principal, John Frare, and staff member Camille Edye. 🌟

We had an amazing time at our Father’s Day Celebration on Wednesday 28 August! It was heartwarming to see so many fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and special male role models join us for an afternoon filled with joy, laughter, and great company.
From spending quality time in the classrooms to enjoying delicious food and drinks at La Verna, every moment was special. Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event a memorable one. Your presence truly made a difference in the lives of our students.
