i seem to keep ending up in the same conversation with different people about how this year was grief.

We are all feeling the heavy weight of a world that feels like its crumbling and coping with the apathy that comes with it.

There is so much pain held and carried with each of us as genocide and carelessness for those not in power continues to rise.

We must remember our power and the way in which we have persevered to get to this moment. We must hold ourselves and our communities close, loving every being that crosses our path because we have never needed it more.

This piece is about the wavering nature of grief and living in a world that doesn’t feel like it was built for us. Keep holding your grief close, let your love be vague, and let go.

This next season is for building.
