The beautiful creation was inspired by Mary Albert’s Dreamtime story, “How the Birds Got Their Colors.”
In our discussion of the story, we explored how the various birds, demonstrating kindness, assisted the injured dove.
To bring this narrative to life, we decided to craft a diverse array of birds for display on our wall.
The children employed a range of colors and shapes in their creations, enhancing their fine motor skills in the process. Congratulations to Kinder One for their outstanding masterpiece!
⚽️When children share and play soccer together they develop important skills that extend beyond the game. They learn to communicate effectively, work as a team, and understand the value of cooperation. Playing soccer teaches them how to take turns, resolve conflicts, and support one another, all while building friendships and boosting self-confidence.
Children gain physical skills like coordination and endurance, making soccer a fun and valuable activity for their overall growth and development.⚽️
Happy Early Childhood Educators Day! 👨🏫👩🏫
We acknowledge the outstanding role educators play in supporting the wellbeing and healthy development of children in their care each and everyday, Thank
You!
🚲Sharing and riding bikes together is vital for children's social and emotional development. When children ride bikes together, they learn valuable lessons about cooperation, empathy, and teamwork. They practice sharing, take turns, and build friendships, which helps them develop strong social skills and confidence. This shared activity not only promotes physical health through exercise but also fosters a sense of community and belonging, teaching children the importance of working together and enjoying each other's company. 🚲

Planting Seeds in Kinder - 🪴🪻🫛🍅
Today in kinder we had conversations with the children about eating vegetables during meal times. We have focused on gardening and growing vegetables and herbs in our indoor and outdoor environments.
This month the children have had the opportunity to plant their favourite vegetables and herbs (carrots, spinach, basil , tomatoes and capsicum). The kinder children are learning about how seeds grow and the things we need to do to help our garden grow.
Through classroom discussions and group times, we have also talked about the benefits of connections to our natural environments. Here are photos of some our kinder children planting seeds and caring for our vegetable and herb garden.
Today the Nursery children participated in a colour mixing experiment, For science week. Navneet set up the experience by using some food colouring, dish washing liquid, and some milk.
The children then took in turns as they were given an Icy pole stick with cotton wool attached to the end. The children then dipped their icy pole stick into the dish washing liquid followed by the food colouring then into the plate of milk. The children then watched the milk form into different colours as they mixed the stick around.
The children were very memorized by this experience and had a lot of fun participating in it.
National Science Week.
The children in the Three-Year Old Kinder Room, participated in some experiments which encouraged them to learn about textures, colors, mixing liquids and talking about their discoveries together.
The children were interested and engaged in the experiences with the educators, as we celebrated National Science Week in our centre.
This week the children have looked at Strawberries under the microscope and other textured objects. The children were confident in voicing their findings, as they were engaging in these experiences.
We look forward to what other experiences we will be providing for the children during the rest of our Science Week Celebrations.
Mini Olympics in the Toddler room
Over the past two weeks, we celebrated a mini Olympics in the Toddler room, where our 2-3-year-olds enthusiastically participated in various games. The event began with the children lighting the cauldron using their own handmade torches, setting the stage for an exciting and fun-filled experience. As the games concluded, each child was awarded a medal, a token of recognition for their efforts and participation. The children absolutely loved the experience as you can see by the smiles on their faces.
Today in kinder we had a group discussion about what the Olympic Rings mean.
The Olympic rings are a symbol of the Olympic Games.
The Olympic rings consist of five interlocking rings, three on top and two on the bottom.
The five rings represent five continents in the Olympics - Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Australia.
Every country that participates in the Olympics has one of the five colours in their flag.
The children were then given the opportunity to make their own Olympic rings using the cardboard rolls and paint.
Here are the photos of today
Today, the Nursery children participated to draw on white board. Children had opportunity to develop their imagination and creation.
By working alongside with their peers, children improved their social skills, communication skills and solving problem skills.

It’s NAIDOC week.
Today, we shared the story of The Rainbow Serpent
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8RA7-yktM0
The children learnt how the mountains, valleys, lakes and rivers were created as the “rainbow snake” moved through the land. The children mentioned, “The water comes from the frogs mouth and made the rivers.”
We also talked about respecting, taking care and protecting our land and earth. Some children noted, "We take care of the land with care and respect.
We then researched on the internet and discussed how we are going to make a “long rainbow serpent” We then began painting recycled round cardboard individually and putting them together to form a the serpent.
NAIDOC WEEK - Kinder
This afternoon we practiced an offsite emergency evacuation. This provides an opportunity to ensure the educators and children have a clear evacuation strategy to ensure that everyone is more prepared incase of an emergency.
Regular evacuation exercises establish a culture of safety, increase confidence, Promote readiness and detects potential risks.
All rooms participated and did extremely well. ☺️
🌞Playing outside offers numerous benefits for toddler’ development. It encourages physical activity, helping to build motor skills and coordination as they run, jump, and climb. Exposure to natural light supports the production of vitamin D, crucial for bone health. Outdoor play also stimulates imaginative play and social skills as toddlers interact with their environment and other children.
Furthermore, being outdoors exposes toddlers to new sensory experiences, like different textures, sounds, and smells, which can enhance their cognitive development. Overall, outdoor play is essential for holistic development, fostering both physical and mental well-being in young children.
To those who celebrate in our community, wishing you a peaceful and blessed Eid Ul Adha.
Today, to celebrate World Ocean Day, the Toddler Two room children learned about ocean life and how to protect marine animals. They engaged in exciting activities, starting with cleaning rubbish from our sea animal area. This taught them the importance of keeping the ocean clean to protect marine life.
Nursery...Ocean Day..7/624
One of the main aims of the day is to remind people of the important role the ocean plays in our lives. Life began in the ocean. And the ocean is home to the majority of plants and animals on Earth, from single-cell organisms to the blue whale. Marine plants provide us with 70 per cent of the oxygen we breathe.
To help celebrate world Ocean Day today our Nursery Children went through our sea animal tray and picked out rubbish that has gotten into our waters.
The children took in turns alongside an educator as they helped one another to make our ocean clean.
As you can see from the photos the children really enjoyed this experience and showed great turn taking skills.
Leading up to this day the children worked together as a team to paint the 'canvas' with blue and green paint over the last couple of weeks to create the ' ocean'. Many passers-by were curious and asker us what the beautiful wall is.
Some children had been helping to cut pictures of some marine life and everyone pasted the different marine life on their 'ocean'. During group time, the children took turns identifying and pointing out their favourite marine life. We had a discussion about the ocean and how we should respect and ensure we keep it clea so that the ' fishies' will live in a clean 'home'.
