We're in the middle of a heatwave and I thought this would be a good time to display some of my recent work while sitting in the air conditioning waiting for this weather to disappear. I've been working on a couple of new pieces. A cute little shabby chic style bedroom stool with a decoupaged top and 2 bedsides that have had a transformation from a dreary dark stained wood to something light and bright. Many more projects in the pipeline. While I don't enjoy working in the heat I have had the sewing machine out and sewing up some cute little sunfrocks for 6 months and 1 year olds. Also some shopping totes.

I have 3 blanket boxes in my home all filled with fabric. It was time to do some culling of my hoard. I figured I'd never be alive long enough to use the the amount of fabric that I had acquired over the years. So this little beauty is up for sale. $85.00. It is an extremely heavy piece and well made.

Hello, I have just completed this outdoor setting. It was a huge job. The upholstery was certainly a big undertaking. Can't say I'm a lover of doing upholstery, but I had a vision for the cushions, navy blue with white piping. It has been sold and is on its way to its new home in Papua New Guinea.

Hello Folks once again.
What a time these past few weeks have been, the rain and flooding have been horrendous. Our thoughts are with everyone that have been affected. Hubbies been out helping with clean up. Fortunately for us we are high and dry.

I made a promise to myself to clear some of my inventory before I collected more. Hope you like these pieces I have been working on. One day I will remember to take some before photos. The before and afters are quite striking.

Hello Folks. Now that Christmas is over for another year I can finally get back into the swing of things and get crafting again. I have a stash of furniture that never seems to get any smaller. I've just completed this cute little Bistro Setting. The timber top was too nice to paint so there was a lot of painstaking sanding to do. The chairs are folding. I have it for sale for $99. Afternoon everyone. I have been painting and painting and painting. It's now time to get my act together and get my hard work listed. I love the crafty work but not a fan of the selling side of things. But it's time I am running out of room in my little area where I display my goodies. As you will see from the photos it is really really overstocked. My other half keeps asking when are you going to sell some of this. I could be turning into a hoarder. Afternoon folks. Away on a bit of a break. Luckily where I live we're not in lockdown. Having fun visiting the small towns and their wonderful antique shops and op shops of course. Be home soon and into more creating. Lots of projects to on the to do list.

Hello everyone. Took these typical 80's dark stained bedsides and gave them a slightly off white colour change. Distressed them a little. I so enjoy giving these pieces a new life.

I forgot one more photo. Just as a point of interest the tablecloth I have draped over my display stand was a wedding gift to my Grandmother. It's 90 years old. It has a few little stains, a couple of small holes in the crochet work and it went through the 1974 floods. It's precious.

Hello folks. Just a few more creations I've been working on. A long time getting them done. Had back issues holding me up. I'm retired now and there seems to be never enough hours in the day.
