2023 has certainly been a roller coaster ride - a year of highs and lows, joy and sorrow. At Keatings Pharmacy Heywood & Macarthur, our community has always been and will always be more than a collection of individuals who come and go - it is our family.

Amidst the holiday cheer, we cannot ignore the series of difficult events that have affected our community. Our hearts are with you, and we share in your grief.

We would also like to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for choosing us as your trusted healthcare partner. Your trust and loyalty empower us to serve you better, and we are honoured to be a part of this wonderful community.

We are looking for Pharmacy Assistants to fill the following positions:
1) A junior candidate to work our Saturday Shifts (Plus additional shifts during school holidays) – If you’re between the ages of 15-18 and are looking to experience what the pharmacy/retail industry offers, come in and have a chat with us. Why retail? Have a read of this article!

2) An individual looking to join our casual bank (with the possible conversion to a permanent part-time role for the right candidate)
- Retail/Pharmacy experience is preferred, but all are welcome to apply.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, your roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Processing sales through the till
- Assisting the dispensary team in organizing medications for our customers
- Maintaining stock levels

One of the best things about doing what we do is having the privilege of knowing and serving our customers in all seasons - through the good and bad times, the laughter and tears, the joy and sorrows.

While we know that Christmas is a joyous occasion for most, we would also like to remember those who are grieving.

COVID-19 rapid antigen self-test kits are now available in store!

We have two Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved options available:

1. ORAL FLUID COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (AM Diagnostics Pty Ltd)
2. NASAL SWAB COVID-19 Antigen Home Test (CareStartTM)

Key Points:
- Rapid antigen tests can only tell if you are likely to have COVID-19
- In Victoria, a standard (PCR) test is still needed to confirm a positive infection
- If you test positive from a rapid antigen test, you must isolate, get tested with a standard (PCR) test, and stay isolated until you get your results
